Ecommpay has been named as a finalist in nine categories at the 2025 Payments Awards organised by FStech and Retail Systems.

The awards recognise achievements in the payments industry, with Ecommpay's shortlisting highlighting its focus on improving accessibility and providing payment solutions to a broad range of clients globally.

Ecommpay is a finalist in several awards categories, including Best Alternative Payments Solution and Best Online Payments Solution (Merchant) for its payment platform. The company's Hosted Payment Page has also been nominated in B2B Payments Innovation of the Year and Payments Innovation of the Year categories for its use in business-to-business payouts. The Ecommpay platform itself is in the running for the International Payments Excellence Award.

The Embedded Finance and Open Banking Award nomination recognises the company's collaboration with the Money Platform. The company's commitment to inclusivity is further emphasised by its shortlisting for the Accessibility in Payments Award for its Ecommpay for Good initiative.

Leadership recognition

Ecommpay's leadership team has also received attention, with Chief Marketing Officer Miranda McLean a finalist for the Women in PayTech Award. Chief Compliance Officer and UK Chair Willem Wellinghoff has been shortlisted for the Payments Leadership Award.

The Payments Awards are regarded as one of the key industry measures of performance and progress, aiming to highlight companies making significant advances in areas such as accessibility and technological innovation within the payments sector.

"It is a fantastic honour to be recognised for the work we have been doing in all areas of the business," commented Willem Wellinghoff, UK Chair, Ecommpay. "We are proud of our payment platform, from its capabilities and functionalities to its accessibility and inclusivity. The changes we have made in the past year reflect our continued commitment to bring about financial inclusivity for all and highlight the dedication and passion of our entire team, from the top down. We very much look forward to celebrating with other leaders in our industry at the ceremony in November."

Diverse recognition

The range of award categories in which Ecommpay is shortlisted spans product-specific merits, collaborative efforts, and recognition of individuals within the company, illustrating a comprehensive acknowledgement of Ecommpay's activities across the sector. In particular, the Accessibility in Payments Award and the nominations for members of the leadership team underline the company's efforts beyond core product offerings, extending into leadership and diversity initiatives.

Ecommpay's platform, which offers global and local acquiring and supports over 100 payment methods, has been developed to fit a diversity of business models. The company had made changes in the past year which it says are focused on ensuring the platform remains accessible and inclusive, particularly as demands for easier financial services grow within the international market.
