Open ECX targets GBP £4.6 million sales & expands Salford base
Open ECX, a business software provider, has relocated to larger headquarters at Cloister House in Salford to support its ongoing expansion.
The move from its former base in Manchester city centre increases its office space by 50 per cent, allowing the company to host more customers and provide enhanced collaborative facilities for staff.
Sales growth
This year, the company is on track to achieve record revenues of GBP £4.6 million for 2025, up from GBP £3 million last year. The growth follows expansion into a broader range of sectors and new international markets. Open ECX's software automates business transactions, offering integration with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft, while its traditional client base in construction and building materials has widened to include food and beverage, energy, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals.
New sectors
Global client acquisition has accelerated, with new customers gained in the UK, Europe, the US, and Australasia. Particularly, a strategic partner agreement with US-based Cleo has opened opportunities in North America, focusing on AI-driven supply chain orchestration.
"During recent years, we have laid the foundations to realise sustainable growth for the business, and our move to new headquarters is an exciting step on this journey. A combination of hard work by our dedicated team to attract new customers and channel partners and to grow our existing accounts, alongside our investment in new software and products to further enhance our offering, means we are well-positioned for significant expansion in the UK and other territories," said Nathan Ollier, Chief Executive, Open ECX.
Facilities upgrade
The company's new headquarters includes additional meeting rooms and breakout areas designed for better collaboration and customer engagement. By increasing its overall space, Open ECX aims to further scale its team and improve the experience for both clients and employees. Ollier said, "The new office gives us plenty of scope to scale the company further. We had outgrown our previous base, and we have now increased our office space by 50 per cent, as well as improving the facilities for our team and customers to collaborate."
He noted the advantages of the new location: "We've remained in a Bruntwood building with our move to Cloister House. This new, modern space puts us in an ideal position, being close to excellent transport links and near to Manchester city centre, which is increasingly vibrant for business and leisure. It also enables us to clearly showcase the direction the business has taken over the past few years."
Product development
The company's technology now supports statement reconciliation and deeper analytics, following updates introduced in 2024. Ollier reported, "By consistently improving our core solutions and working closely with our customers, we've successfully increased the services we provide to them. We have also gained new clients across the UK, Europe, the US and Australasia."
He added, "We have focused on innovation, with the introduction of statement reconciliation in 2024 and technological enhancements to create deeper analysis capabilities for our clients. Having also hired staff across multiple departments, making internal promotions and offering role transitions to support career development and business agility, we are at an exciting stage of our evolution."
Future opportunities
Ollier said, "There is a significant opportunity to grow further, in sectors which are currently underserved by automation technologies and by solving further challenges for existing customers."
