Axis Communications has today announced the launch of its next generation AXIS Camera Station Video Management Software (VMS). This new generation of the AXIS Camera Station VMS bundles versatility with limitless opportunities into a comprehensive solution for customers.

The AXIS Camera Station provides a bespoke solution for all scales of operations, from small-scale single sites to larger, more demanding deployments across multiple sites. The new software allows customers to build their ideal system, tailored to their specific needs, on a private network using cloud-based services or a combination of both to suit their convenience.

The flagship offering amongst the new suite of products is the AXIS Camera Station Edge. The Station Edge is primarily a cam-to-cloud solution, cleverly combining the power of Axis Edge devices with Axis Cloud services. The user-friendly, secure, and scalable video surveillance solution is both economical and easy to install with minimal equipment required on-site. Customers will benefit from included cloud-based services enabled by Axis Cloud Connect, such as a web client for video and user and device management. It also offers effortless control from anywhere, thus raising the bar for flexibility and reliability.

For customers who wish for complete oversight of their system, Axis has introduced the AXIS Camera Station Pro. This high-functioning video surveillance and access management software is for those who want full control of their site and the opportunity to build the right solution on their private network while also benefiting from optional cloud connectivity. In addition to supporting a complete range of Axis products, it also features an improved search functionality and optional cloud connectivity, among other upgrades.

In an effort to facilitate the efficient management and operation of numerous cloud-connected AXIS Camera Station Pro or AXIS Camera Station Edge sites, Axis has provided the AXIS Camera Station Centre. This allows for aggregated multi-site device management, user management, and video operation from a single centralized location, accessible from anywhere. It caters for corporate IT functionality with features such as Active Directory, user group management, and 24/7 support.

Furthermore, optional cloud-based add-on services are available. For example, the AXIS Camera Station Cloud Storage provides an additional safety net for AXIS Camera Station Pro and AXIS Camera Station Edge installations. It ensures uninterrupted access to recordings by securely storing them in the cloud for redundancy, even if the primary storage is unavailable.

Axis Communication has confirmed that the AXIS Camera Station Pro will be available from April 30, 2024. The AXIS Camera Station Edge, AXIS Camera Station Centre and AXIS Camera Station Cloud Storage are also slated for release in the course of 2024.
