ControlUp reports 30% growth in ARR for 2024 success
ControlUp, a provider of digital employee experience management solutions, has reported significant year-over-year growth for 2024, marked by a double-digit increase in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and substantial gains in sales pipeline and partner contributions.
The company noted a 629% annual increase in sales pipeline and an 80% rise in contributions from channel partners, resulting in a 30% expansion in ARR for the year. Of the net new ARR, 38% was attributed to the ControlUp ONE platform license, which is designed to integrate ControlUp solutions across both physical and virtual environments.
Jed Ayres, CEO of ControlUp, stated, "DEX is truly a massive opportunity and this year we have been focused on effectively building the global ControlUp organisation to capitalise on it. We are already seeing the fruits of our labor."
ControlUp has launched two new licenses this year. These include the ControlUp ONE platform, offering comprehensive digital employee experience capabilities, and a Cloud PC Bundle that caters to organisations deploying DEX on Microsoft or Amazon Cloud PCs. This new offering is alongside the employee's primary device.
Ayres commented on the evolving computing landscape, saying, "The changing landscape of end-user computing is here to stay for at least the next three years. Customers are in a constant state of migration, and the ControlUp ONE platform provides the ability to monitor, manage, and remediate issues across their entire estate future proofing any investment."
Additionally, ControlUp has announced the formation of ControlUp LABS, an innovation subsidiary led by co-founder Asaf Ganot. Takeover of Israeli-based Takoto is seen as a strategic move to enhance automation capabilities and introduce new features for customers.
Asaf Ganot noted, "This acquisition marks a pivotal moment for our company. By incorporating Takoto's cutting-edge technology into our offerings, we are not only expanding our capabilities but also reinforcing our commitment to delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers."
Key performance indicators also demonstrated ControlUp's 2024 success, with Q4 marking its largest quarter historically, alongside a notable increase in community engagement. The ControlUp Community now boasts over 2,400 members with 95,000 message exchanges.
Product advancements for 2024 included the release of Secure DX, an autonomous tool for vulnerability detection and remediation, a Windows 11 readiness assessment tool, improvements to Edge DX, and enhanced support features for Windows 365 and ChromeOS.
Partner developments included enhancements to the ControlUp Drive DX global partner program, a strengthened collaboration with Nerdio for Microsoft Azure adoption, and a new distribution deal with Ingram Micro in North America.
On the organisational front, several executive appointments were made. Mark Schwartz was named Chief Operating Officer, Guy Weintraub was appointed Vice President of Product, and international expansion efforts were highlighted by the addition of Ben Lancaster as Vice President of International Sales and Simon Townsend as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Office of the CTO. The company recruited 115 new employees in 2024 and has 20 positions to fill in 2025.
ControlUp has also been recognised as a leader in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Employee Experience Management Tools and earned several accolades, including a 5-star rating in the 2024 CRN Partner Program Guide.
