Dasera partners with Cisco, Cohesity & Intuitive Cloud to extend DSPM reach

Wed, 8th May 2024

Dasera, a data security posture management (DSPM) provider, has announced key collaborations with tech giants Cisco, Cohesity, and Intuitive Cloud, extending its market reach into these vendors' customer base. The company revealed comprehensive enhancements across its platform, coupled with a flexible monthly pricing model.

In addition to the strategic partnerships, Dasera introduced upgrades across its platform aimed at strengthening security and improving governance, according to the company. One such feature is the newly launched Data Security and Governance dashboard. Placed at the heart of the platform, the dashboard answers critical questions pertaining to data security - from location and accessibility of data, to the risks associated with its usage.

Commenting on the development, Ani Chaudhuri, CEO and Cofounder of Dasera, noted, "Data security is paramount in the wake of data breaches. Our improved platform, affordable pricing model and partnerships with leading cybersecurity and data protection firms, combine to provide accessible innovation for everyone. Our vision is to build a safer, data-driven world by automating data security and governance controls for all data, everywhere."

Key partnerships with mainstream technology providers place DSPM within the grasp of potentially 300,000+ companies. Vladi Sandler, Head of Partnerships for Outshift by Cisco, articulated, "Cisco's Panoptica CNAPP (Cloud Native Application Protection Platform) integrates with Dasera to offer data protection for critical assets, fortify resilience against cyber threats, and prioritise relevant vulnerabilities, adding value to Cisco's customers."

Joseph Razavian, senior director of Business Development and Alliances at Cohesity, also commented favourably on the teamwork. He said, "As a Cohesity Data Security Alliancemember, our cooperation with Dasera allows enterprises to boost their cyber resilience and get meaningful insights into their data, enabling them to make prudent decisions to shield their sensitive data promptly."

Intuitive Cloud's CEO, Jay Modh, was similarly positive, remarking, "The differentiated platform and its innovative pricing set Dasera apart from the market. Dasera adds a critical offering of DSPM to our cybersecurity practice, greatly benefiting the 40% of our customers that plan to invest in data security."

Dasera's upgraded platform boasts a novel 4-way data-context dashboard, offering at-a-glance understanding of their data's security stance. The dashboard uncovers sensitive data exposure and identifies infrastructure, data usage, and applications risks while conducting concurrent data usage analysis. It empowers administrators to detect and manage issues promptly, offering robust protection for organisational data.

This enhanced Data Security and Governance Dashboard was born out of the inaugural Data Security Creative Council (DSCC) workshop, a gathering of data security leaders tasked with devising efficient, practical solutions to tackle the growing complexity of security and governance challenges.

Dasera also launched a new payment model dubbed 'Pay as You Grow,' offering data security solutions at an unbeatable $500/per data store, contract-free and adjustable each month. The model permits organisations to start with minimal data stores and scale up as per their evolving governance strategies, with charges reflecting solely the security used.

Chaudhuri further stated, "Our aim is to enable every organisation to enhance their data security and build a more secure data environment. This initiative represents significant progress towards creating a world where data protection is an assured element, not a luxury dictated by budget constraints and resource availability."
