Kaspersky awarded top 'Strategic Leader' in EPR tests

Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Expert has earned the top rating of 'Strategic Leader' in the 2024 AV-Comparatives Endpoint Prevention and Response Test.

For the third consecutive year, this solution, now incorporated into Kaspersky Next EDR Expert, has been acknowledged for effectively preventing and responding to cybersecurity breaches. The recognition also highlights the product's affordability and operational precision.

The EPR Test by AV-Comparatives evaluates 12 endpoint prevention and response solutions against 50 targeted attack scenarios. These assessments are conducted to verify how well these solutions can block threats or provide actionable insights into sophisticated cyberattacks. Core criteria for assessment include Active Response (Prevention), Passive Response (Detection), Operational Accuracy Costs, and Workflow Delay Costs.

Kaspersky's Detection and Response Expert achieved 100% in Active and Passive cumulative responses for all attack scenarios across Phases 1 and 2. Additionally, it secured the highest Combined Prevention/Response Capabilities score of 99.3%. It also showed no workflow delay costs, ensuring user operations remain uninterrupted whilst files undergo analysis. The solution achieved one of the most favourable total cost of ownership (TCO) ratings.

Beyond the EPR Test, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, now part of Kaspersky Next, has successfully participated in various AV-Comparatives tests throughout 2024. It attained 'Certified' status in Advanced Threat Protection with a TOP2 result, Process Injection Protection with another TOP2 result, and a TOP1 result in Credential Dumping Protection. Moreover, it received 'Approved' status in the Enterprise and Business Security category, signifying exceptional results across six tests, including two Whole Product Dynamic Tests, two Malware Protection Tests, and two Performance tests.
