Lenovo selects Tikiri Wanduragala to lead UKI ISG technology

Thu, 17th Jul 2025

Lenovo has named Tikiri Wanduragala as the new UKI ISG Technology Leader, responsible for pre-sales technology teams and product evangelism across the United Kingdom and Ireland.

In his new position, Wanduragala will oversee the management and leadership of pre-sales technology teams, work to advance product knowledge across the region, and offer technical guidance to Lenovo's channel partners.

Wanduragala joins the UKI business after leading Lenovo ISG technology across the EMEA region since 2015. His experience in the technology sector spans more than three decades, beginning at IBM during what is regarded by many as the inception of the personal computing era. Over the years, his career has encompassed a breadth of roles including applications software, test and development, systems software and hardware, product management, and brand management.

"It has been a great privilege to work alongside so many talented colleagues and partners over the past decade at Lenovo, and I am delighted to be working more closely with the UKI team in my new role. This is a region full of opportunity, innovation, and varied customer needs – and I'm excited to continue building momentum and delivering innovative solutions across the region," said Wanduragala.

Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) forms a critical part of its overall business, providing solutions and products in areas such as servers, storage, high performance computing, and software-defined infrastructure. The appointment of Wanduragala is expected to further strengthen the company's go-to-market and technical capabilities in the UKI region, as Lenovo continues to pursue opportunities in both traditional IT and emerging technology sectors.

Wanduragala's leadership background includes supporting a range of customers across multiple sectors in EMEA, an experience that Lenovo highlights as valuable for the company's ongoing UKI strategy. The company has stated that his insights and technical depth are recognised across personal systems and server technologies, reinforcing the firm's customer-centric approach.

The position will also involve building momentum for Lenovo's technology offerings among channel partners, an area where technical leadership and product knowledge are considered key differentiators. In the role, Wanduragala will be expected to translate broader technology trends and developments into practical insights for customers and partners in the region.

Wanduragala's appointment comes as part of Lenovo's ongoing focus on its ISG portfolio, which sits alongside its client devices such as PCs, tablets and smartphones. According to the company, his mix of technical expertise and practical experience aligns with the company's strategy of responding to evolving enterprise IT requirements in the region.

Prior to joining Lenovo in 2015, Wanduragala had already built an extensive career with IBM, witnessing and participating in the evolution of enterprise computing. At Lenovo, his responsibilities have expanded to encompass technology leadership on a broader international scale, especially across EMEA.

"It has been a great privilege to work alongside so many talented colleagues and partners over the past decade at Lenovo, and I am delighted to be working more closely with the UKI team in my new role. This is a region full of opportunity, innovation, and varied customer needs – and I'm excited to continue building momentum and delivering innovative solutions across the region."

The company has outlined that Wanduragala will concentrate on product evangelism and channel technology leadership, with a clear focus on pre-sales technical enablement. His transition into the UKI market is seen as a continuation of Lenovo's broader objectives in enterprise technology and services.

Wanduragala's experience since the early days of the PC industry is seen as valuable for Lenovo's ambitions in the UKI region, where customer requirements continue to evolve with the pace of digital transformation and cloud adoption.

Lenovo reports annual revenues of USD $69 billion and serves customers in 180 markets, with a portfolio ranging from client devices to infrastructure and services. In his new capacity, Wanduragala is positioned to play a role in shaping the company's ISG engagement in the UKI market.
