Meta1st rolls out AI features for stronger email security

Thu, 17th Apr 2025

Meta1st has introduced new features to its Analyse1st and Learn1st products designed to support organisations in mitigating cybersecurity risks and improving regulatory compliance.

The updates include extended compatibility for Analyse1st with both Gmail and Outlook, dynamic heatmap risk analysis, and continuous user learning functions. According to Meta1st, these enhancements aim to help employees more swiftly and effectively discern security threats in emails and respond accordingly.

Analyse1st, Meta1st's AI-driven email analysis tool, now provides real-time assessments of emails for potential risks such as malicious links, suspicious domains, or infected attachments. The newly added features deliver instant explanations regarding why an email may be deemed safe or dangerous. The introduction of heatmap analysis allows organisations to visually monitor the sources and trends of possible threats, offering a clearer understanding of vulnerability points within employee email interactions.

Qasim Bhatti, Chief Executive Officer at Meta1st, stated, "With Analyse 1st, we are empowering employees to make smarter decisions in real-time. With these new features, by equipping employees with instant insights, organisations will reduce risk exposure and fortify their cybersecurity posture to stay ahead of attackers better. Creating a culture of proactive cybersecurity and giving employees actionable insights in real time means businesses are not just reducing risk exposure then and there, they are also building a stronger ongoing defence at the human level."

Alongside email analysis, Meta1st's Learn1st product has been updated with AI-powered training modules focused specifically on addressing Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) compliance. The new educational features are structured to help organisations in the financial services sector meet the requirements set out by DORA, which has been in force since January 2025.

DORA aims to enhance IT security and operational resilience for entities operating in financial services, including banks, insurers, investment companies, and their third-party ICT providers. With Learn1st now offering content that addresses the needs of 20 distinct financial entity categories, organisations can access tailored resources intended to streamline compliance and strengthen their operational resilience.

Speaking on the expanded offering, Bhatti noted, "At Meta1st, we help ensure regulatory compliance isn't overwhelming. Learn 1st streamlines the process by providing organisations with everything they need to more effectively and easily educate their teams to meet DORA's requirements and improve cyber resilience. It is not just about ticking boxes; we aim to help organisations have a stronger and safer future."

Meta1st's platform is based on the principle that the "Human Layer" remains a significant vulnerability within organisational cybersecurity. By equipping employees with up-to-date knowledge and dynamically assessed information about potential threats, the company aims to reduce risk exposure linked to human error or lack of awareness.

The platform's suite includes Phish1st, which is described as an AI-powered tool to test and educate employees on recognising cyber threats; Learn1st, offering interactive learning modules and customisable quizzes; and Analyse1st, designed to facilitate the identification and reporting of malicious emails.
