MultiversX & eCornell launch blockchain education programme
MultiversX has announced a new educational initiative in collaboration with eCornell, the external education unit of Cornell University.
The partnership aims to introduce underprivileged college students from across the world to the basics of blockchain technology through a comprehensive Blockchain Essentials Certificate Program.
The initiative represents the latest step in MultiversX's continuing commitment to education, building on previous successful collaborations with institutions such as the University of Vienna and ELTE Budapest. Through these partnerships, MultiversX has provided numerous introductory blockchain courses and hackathons globally, broadening access to education in this rapidly advancing field.
Launching this summer, the pilot programme will offer 100 underserved students, regardless of their geographical location, the opportunity to participate in eCornell's Blockchain Certificate Program. MultiversX has committed to sponsoring the course fees for all participants, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder access to this educational experience.
In addition to completing the eCornell course, participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on challenges using the MultiversX technology stack. This practical exercise is designed to consolidate their learning, providing them with real-world experience that could prove beneficial as they embark on their professional careers in blockchain and related industries.
Beniamin Mincu, CEO of MultiversX, expressed enthusiasm for the programme, stating, "Blockchain is an open book for anyone willing to read it. We're still at the beginning of this story, so there's plenty of room for anyone with innovative ideas that they want to bring to fruition. MultiversX's collaboration with eCornell highlights our commitment to making our technology accessible to different communities all over the world, and it's just one of the ways we're streamlining the onboarding of builders to Web3 and to our ecosystem."
The programme is designed to be delivered in private cohorts, ensuring that students receive personalized attention and support throughout their learning journey. Upon successful completion of the two-month course, students will also have the opportunity to receive mentorship, additional support, and potential funding from MultiversX to develop and implement blockchain projects aimed at benefiting their communities.
This educational initiative is part of MultiversX's larger mission to foster innovation and support the next generation of blockchain entrepreneurs. By lowering the barriers to education and providing practical experience and mentorship, MultiversX and eCornell are working together to cultivate a skilled and innovative workforce capable of driving forward the future of blockchain technology.
