MUSE unveils luxury asset investment platform with USD$150m

Yesterday

MUSE has launched a digital investment platform designed for luxury assets, developed by Australian-based technology firm MUSE and spearheaded by Founder and Chief Executive Officer Michelle Zhang.

The platform, which includes a mobile application, focuses on high-end collectibles such as rare handbags, fine wines, and luxury timepieces, enabling investors to treat luxury products as investment-grade assets. Utilising artificial intelligence and blockchain technology, MUSE provides features like real-time valuations and authenticated transactions.

"At MUSE, we are not just launching a new investment platform. We are introducing a new way of thinking about luxury products, high-end collectibles, and wealth management. Our goal is to connect investors and buyers to the world's leading suppliers of measurable and bankable investment-grade assets," stated Michelle Zhang, Founder and CEO of MUSE.

The MUSE platform addresses a discernible market gap by offering a structured and secure environment for trading luxury assets. It connects top suppliers of investment-grade products with investors, family offices, and wealthy buyers. USD$150 million worth of inventory is available at launch, presenting an opportunity for luxury goods to be recognised and utilised as asset classes.

MUSE positions itself to redefine luxury investment by accommodating five asset categories at its debut, including rare whiskies and classic cars, in addition to other high-end items.

Nemo Wu, Platform Head at MUSE, explained: "Our MUSE digital platform and mobile app enhances the investment experience using proprietary technology. We use a combination of big data and AI-driven tools, allowing us to assess and curate investment-grade assets from all over the world, and offering customised investment insights and opportunities for the investors on our platform."

"Equally important is the blockchain technology we use at MUSE to track and verify the authenticity and ownership of products, optimise supply chain management with our suppliers worldwide, and ensure the security of our platform," Wu added.

For investors, MUSE offers a streamlined interface with functions for asset valuation, authentication, and trading, thereby assisting in wealth management strategies by offering visibility on market valuations. The platform counts real asset valuation and provenance verification among its features.

Suppliers benefit from the platform by gaining access to a global audience of verified high-net-worth individuals and digital access for secure market interactions. Opportunities for cross-selling and revenue through lifetime resale commissions on changing ownership of assets offer additional incentives.

As one of MUSE's suppliers, Maia Luxury, established supplier of Hermès handbags, emphasises the ease and features of such an integration. "For those who have not had the chance to acquire investment-grade Hermès handbags before, they can now use the MUSE mobile app to easily value and estimate the projected appreciation of our Hermès products over time," Nicola Morris, Founder of Maia Luxury, remarked on the partnership.

MUSE is now available for use, and its app can be downloaded to facilitate investments and trades in luxury goods in an innovative and secured manner.
