Rhenus strengthens IT partnership with Blue Yonder globally

Today

Rhenus Warehousing Solutions has strengthened its partnership with Blue Yonder to pursue global standardisation of its IT systems.

Rhenus, a warehousing solutions and fulfilment services provider, operates 180 sites in 20 countries. The expanded partnership with Blue Yonder, known for its digital supply chain transformation solutions, aims to create a uniform and efficient IT landscape that will benefit Rhenus customers worldwide.

The partnership entails Rhenus implementing Blue Yonder Warehouse Management globally. This interoperable and configurable solution will help meet specific customer requirements efficiently and support resource optimisation across different countries. The in-house configuration of warehouse management modules reduces the need for new developments.

Ronny Sassen, Chief Executive Officer of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions, commented on the partnership's significance: "With the global expansion of Blue Yonder, we are creating a robust and flexible foundation for the future of our warehouse management. This not only strengthens our competitiveness but also enables us to respond to the individual needs of our customers worldwide."

"This partnership marks an important step in further expanding our position in an increasingly competitive global environment and underlines our commitment to accelerating the connection to customer systems through optimising implementation processes."

In addition to system implementation, the partnership creates a Blue Yonder competence centre. This centre will develop preconfigured modules for various industries, expediting the implementation process and supporting the global roll-out of Blue Yonder's warehouse management solution.

The collaborative effort in the initial implementation project showcased progress in deploying a standardised and flexible global warehouse management solution.

Markus Sandbrink, Chief Information Officer of the Rhenus Group, explained the long-term goals: "With Blue Yonder, we are building an IT infrastructure that optimises our global business processes while ensuring the security and performance of our systems. By harmonising this infrastructure, we are strengthening cooperation between all our sites and offering our business partners a reliable basis for their core business."

Nafe Hagen, General Manager, Global Logistics Service Provider and Edge Technologies at Blue Yonder, remarked on the development: "Expanding our relationship with Rhenus to include warehousing is an important step in jointly developing innovative and scalable supply chain solutions. Our technology will support Rhenus' security and performance needs as they look to deploy our solutions globally."
