Targa Telematics tops European fleet management ranking

Targa Telematics has been recognised as the top provider of digital solutions for fleet management in Europe, according to Berg Insight's latest ranking.

Targa Telematics manages more than 801,000 vehicles across Europe, establishing a lead over its nearest competitor by over 66,000 units and outpacing third place by 300,000 units, according to a statement from the company.

The use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning helps to maintain its position within the industry, the company states.

Berg Insight's report, now in its 19th edition, highlights the growth within the European fleet management market. It projects that active fleet management systems will reach 27.6 million by 2028.

Further analysis suggests that from 2023 to 2028, the installed base of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) systems will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 22.4%. Additionally, it is anticipated that the penetration rate for non-proprietary commercial vehicles and passenger cars will rise from 23.9% in 2023 to 38.5% in 2028.
