Taurus & Parfin join forces to boost digital assets in Europe

Yesterday

Taurus and Parfin have announced a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating institutional adoption of digital assets across Latin America and Europe.

The agreement will see Taurus's digital asset custody and tokenisation suite fully integrated into Parfin's platform, offering an end-to-end infrastructure that enables institutions to manage digital assets from secure storage to real-time trading execution.

The collaboration brings together Taurus-PROTECT and Taurus-CAPITAL with Parfin's orchestration layer. This combined setup is intended to deliver secure custody, tokenisation, and execution capabilities in a unified workflow for institutional clients.

The Parfin platform, described as custody-agnostic, allows for flexible security setups including hardware security modules (HSM) or multiparty computation (MPC). The integration with Taurus is expected to enhance Parfin's capacity to serve clients with a variety of security and architectural requirements, highlighting both flexibility and compliance as core features.

By merging the capabilities of both companies, the infrastructure will support a wide range of digital asset use cases, including cryptocurrencies, tokenised securities, and digital currencies. This will provide institutional clients with access to liquidity via Parfin's execution infrastructure, while Taurus handles custody and tokenisation.

Clients are expected to benefit from real-time wallet visibility and settlement execution through the Parfin interface, with policy enforcement provided by Taurus. Other reported benefits include reduced operational and settlement risk, quicker deployment using an API-based architecture, and a lower total cost of ownership by limiting reliance on fragmented third-party systems.

Lamine Brahimi, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Taurus, said, "Taurus delivers the most complete and trusted digital asset infrastructure for regulated institutions. Parfin shares our focus on institutional security, governance, and compliance. Together, we're providing a scalable, high-performance solution that supports institutions as they expand their digital asset capabilities."

Marcos Viriato, Co-Founder and CEO of Parfin, commented, "This partnership is an important step for institutions seeking global-standard infrastructure. At Parfin, we aim to serve as a trusted orchestration layer for financial institutions, with a custody-agnostic and interoperable platform. The integration with Taurus enhances that flexibility, allowing our clients to choose the solutions that best meet their needs in a secure and compliant environment."

With this partnership, Taurus is expanding its operations into Latin America, collaborating with Parfin, which is recognised for its regional expertise and its client base that includes banks, asset managers, and crypto-native institutions. Parfin utilises permissioned blockchain infrastructure and offers a trading platform tailored for institutional requirements.

The joint solution is positioned to meet the demands of regulated markets, offering an interoperable infrastructure that prioritises technology, security, governance, and compliance. Both companies claim that the collaboration marks a significant step forward in providing financial institutions with tools to facilitate the broader adoption of digital assets.
