UK firm launches new digital forensics service for cyber

Today

UK-based cyber security firm th4ts3cur1ty.company has announced the launch of a new Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) service.

Recent data from a gov.uk report highlights the pressing need for enhanced cyber security measures, revealing that half of UK businesses and around a third of charities have experienced some form of cyber security breach or attack in the past year.

The DFIR service aims to mitigate the impact of security breaches, offering businesses tools to prepare for cyber attacks and ensuring swift and efficient responses. This service facilitates speedy remediation, reduces downtime, and enhances understanding of the factors that led to a cyber attack.

Eliza-May Austin, CEO and Co-Founder of th4ts3cur1ty.company, stated: "We have created our DFIR service in response to customers who wish to not only leverage our technical expertise at a critical moment, but also who need to learn more about how a cyber attack happened in the first place and, more importantly, how to stabilise the business during an incident."

The DFIR service provides online and priority phone support, a customised Incident Response Plan review, and a post-incident review process. A key differentiator of this service is the availability of th4ts3cur1ty.company's technical specialists around the clock, ensuring incidents are dealt with promptly and businesses remain operational at all times. This feature is crucial for reducing downtime and enabling businesses to continue essential operations, such as paying staff and supporting customers.

Austin further elaborated: "This service was described as 'groundbreaking' when we provided it for a customer as a one-off, largely because our approach is entirely business-centric, not just focused on the technology. Rather than just highlighting their pitfalls we were incredibly tenacious, getting all elements of the business up and running again as quickly as possible. When you're facing a cyber security crisis, that's the most important thing. It was then that the customer told us how impressed we were with our handling of the situation, and we realised there was a real need for a service like this."

The DFIR service is now available to businesses seeking comprehensive support in managing and responding to cyber security incidents.
