Westcon-Comstor & CrowdStrike expand partnership to Ireland
Westcon-Comstor and CrowdStrike have announced the expansion of their distribution agreement to Ireland, aiming to enhance the adoption of the CrowdStrike Falcon platform.
Westcon-Comstor, a specialist distributor and global technology provider has extended its partnership with CrowdStrike to include Ireland. The existing agreement already spans various key markets across EMEA and APAC. The expansion into Ireland is expected to offer significant opportunities for IT channel partners throughout the country.
The partnership enables Ireland-based resellers, systems integrators, managed service providers, and managed security service providers to use the AI-native CrowdStrike Falcon cybersecurity platform for vendor consolidation and to prevent breaches. These channel partners can leverage Westcon-Comstor's range of value-added services, including education, enablement, and data-driven sales and marketing programs, to foster business growth.
As part of the agreement, partners in Ireland can utilise Westcon-Comstor's 3D Lab. This facility allows them to test use cases and integrate CrowdStrike products with other vendors' solutions within a secure cloud environment. Moreover, the distributor's Intelligent Demand programme provides data insights, including predictive analytics, which assist both CrowdStrike and its partners in identifying and targeting growth opportunities.
The cybersecurity industry in Ireland is predicted to expand by nearly 8% over the forthcoming five years, projecting a market volume of USD $812 million by 2029. Currently, the sector employs over 7,000 cybersecurity professionals in Ireland, with expectations from Cyber Ireland to increase this number to 17,000 by 2030.
The decision to expand to Ireland comes after a successful partnership between CrowdStrike and Westcon-Comstor in the UK, where revenue and order volumes, alongside the number of partners, have grown markedly. Westcon-Comstor has been recognised as the 2024 CrowdStrike Global Distributor Partner of the Year for its "outstanding performance" in promoting the CrowdStrike Falcon platform.
John Nolan, Managing Director UK & Ireland at Westcon-Comstor, commented, "We're excited to give Ireland-based partners and their customers access to CrowdStrike's market-leading Falcon platform, wrapped in our value-add services and underpinned by our data-driven approach. This agreement is an acknowledgement of the success we have had in other markets in driving and scaling adoption of the CrowdStrike platform, and ultimately, it will help to protect organisations across Ireland to stay safe amid an ever-evolving cybersecurity threat landscape."
Daniel Danielli, Vice President of Global Distribution at CrowdStrike, stated, "Stopping breaches is a shared mission, and our distribution partners like Westcon-Comstor play a vital role. We are pleased to extend our collaboration to Ireland, protecting organisations against advanced threats with the world's most advanced AI-native cybersecurity."
