Appspace certified as a premium app for PPDS Wave ProStore

Thu, 23rd May 2024

PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips Professional Displays, has announced that Appspace has been certified as an official PPDS Wave ProStore premium application. This certification simplifies the deployment of Appspace’s workplace management and experience platform on Philips Android SoC displays, including the Philips Signage 3000 Series (Q-Line), Philips Signage 4000 Series (D-Line), and Philips Interactive (T-Line).

Appspace operates in the US, UK, UAE, and Malaysia and serves over 2,500 organisations globally. These organisations include 160 Fortune 500 companies, supporting 12 million onsite, remote, and frontline employees daily. The platform is noted for connecting people, places, and spaces through digital signage, space reservations, employee apps, and intranets.

The integration with PPDS displays introduces various pivotal features tailored to users' needs. It enhances communication through digital signage, fostering seamless interaction for visitors and staff within the workplace environment. It streamlines the space reservation process, aiding users in efficiently locating and booking rooms, desks, and other office areas. Furthermore, the integration is an invaluable tool for intranet consolidation, aggregating various work-related resources into a singular, personalised hub accessible to all employees. The integration also extends its utility through an employee app, providing frontline and onsite teams with a mobile-centric experience to optimise workflow and connectivity.

The PPDS ProStore serves as a marketplace, allowing customers to access their preferred applications and services on Philips Android SoC displays. It aims to eliminate compatibility concerns, ensuring that applications can be easily installed remotely right out of the box.

As part of the Wave ecosystem, Appspace can now be selected, remotely distributed, updated, and managed from any location. This integration provides complete control over display configurations and enhances the customer experience. The Wave platform aims to unlock the power, versatility, and intelligence of the Philips Professional Display fleet.

Sian Rees, Business Development Director for Wave and Software Partnerships at PPDS, remarked, “At PPDS, we are driven by partnerships that provide indispensable solutions for Philips Professional Displays. We have transformed from a display hardware provider to a company delivering choice, value, and support through innovation. The PPDS Wave ProStore is central to this strategy, and the market response since its launch has been overwhelmingly positive.”

Rees added, “By partnering with premium providers like Appspace and adding their applications to the ProStore, we ensure the best user experience for our customers. This enables them to customise for their specific needs and industry. Wave allows easy and remote installation of these apps, and efficient fleet management and scaling. We are thrilled to welcome Appspace into our Wave community.”

Paul Alley, Director of Technology and Alliance Partnerships at Appspace, commented, “Appspace supports thousands of customers in modernising their workplace experiences. Our partners are vital in this effort. We have closely collaborated with the PPDS team, who share our commitment to creating best-in-class user experiences. Being part of the PPDS ProStore offers greater opportunities for our customers to access our solutions globally, delivering more value to their partners and clients.”
