BT Group will advance its enterprise service offerings by deploying Optiva's Application Server to enhance its network communication services.
The UK telecommunications provider has expanded its partnership with Optiva to implement B2B and B2B2X services through Optiva's cloud-native and open-architecture platform, Optiva Charging Engine. This collaboration is part of an initiative to modernise BT Group's services and improve its 5G coverage.
Optiva's platform, featuring an Open API framework, aims to enhance BT Group's capabilities in service creation and provide new revenue opportunities. The platform upgrade is designed to transition BT Group from legacy technology to a more modern infrastructure, thereby supporting the company's various industry partnerships.

To support BT Group's evolution, Optiva has introduced new interfaces and technologies to transform traditional networks into next-generation networks. This transformation includes modernising enterprise applications essential for BT Group's B2B services and consumer applications, aligning with the evolving network infrastructure.
The initiative seeks to enhance BT Group's B2B applications by integrating network convergence capabilities with enhanced flexibility. The modernisation effort will be characterised by a convergent network communication suite, API enrichment, and autonomous deployment and operations for improved B2B experiences.
