Draeger UK extends safety contract with INEOS O&P UK to 2029
Draeger Safety UK has announced a contract extension with INEOS O&P UK that will see the company continue to provide essential services until 2029.
This agreement builds on the existing collaboration between Draeger UK and INEOS O&P UK, which commenced in 2018. It involves the provision and maintenance of Portable Gas Detection and the deployment of Rental Robot services to support operations at INEOS's facilities.
Draeger UK is slated to introduce new products under the terms of the renewed contract, including the introduction of ConHub for individual monitoring of personnel on site, providing visibility of real time gas readings. The contract also includes the introduction of INARA, a new digital safety guard capable of monitoring multiple work sites and ensuring rapid deployment of available equipment without requiring personnel to be on site.
In a statement, Matthew Bedford, Managing Director - Sales & Service Division at Draeger UK, commented on the significance of the extension: "This contract extension with INEOS O&P UK is a testament to Draeger UK's reputation as the first choice for companies seeking to prioritise safety and innovation."
He added, "By continuing our collaboration with INEOS O&P UK, we demonstrate our ability to deliver cutting-edge safety solutions that drive operational efficiency and protect personnel in the petrochemical sector. This agreement not only strengthens our long-standing partnership with INEOS but also positions us to enhance our footprint throughout the UK. By leveraging our proven expertise and advanced technology to support other critical sites and operations, we are further solidifying Draeger UK's role as a trusted leader in safety technology on a global scale."
The Rental Robot, part of Draeger UK's service offering, is an automated system designed to store and track the usage of equipment such as personal gas detection monitors and breathing apparatus. The system also includes functionalities for equipment testing and servicing to ensure reliability.
Personnel using the system receive a barcode on their site access pass, allowing them to collect their required safety equipment. The system identifies the necessary products based on stored user data and dispenses items accordingly. It provides only the equipment that personnel are trained or certified to use.
The Rental Robot system can also process returns and provide INEOS with analysis, such as usage data, damage reports, or other issues. This offers health and safety or procurement teams an overview of cost savings and an auditable trail of equipment utilisation by employees and contractors.
