Canon Europe launches AI-enhanced imageFORCE printer
Canon Europe has launched the imageFORCE C7165 multifunction printer, which features the newly developed imageFORCE technology platform.
This latest addition to Canon's portfolio incorporates machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance productivity in office environments and achieve production print-like quality.
Khalid Aziz, Marketing Director for Digital Printing & Solutions at Canon UK & Ireland, explained, "In today's rapidly changing business world, organisations must embrace the latest technologies to boost growth, perform better and improve the working experience of their employees. With major advancements disrupting ways of working – including cloud computing, and AI – organisations are looking to embrace innovation to drive new levels of productivity."
The introduction of the imageFORCE C7165 highlights advancements in print quality, security, and sustainability. It utilises D2 Exposure technology with organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) to provide high-definition imagery, making the printer the only one on the market capable of delivering 4800dpi resolution. This positions it as a suitable option for producing various high-quality printed materials in-house, from flyers and posters to business cards and postcards.
Canon's Security Environment Estimation Technology enhances security by using AI to recommend optimal security settings. This feature simplifies achieving robust device security without requiring in-house expertise and monitors network changes in real-time to notify users of potential vulnerabilities.
Reliability is addressed with machine learning capabilities that predict part life and potential failures, thereby aiding businesses in reducing downtime and preventing operational disruptions. Furthermore, the imageFORCE C7165 includes improved paper feeding with air-assisted technology, supporting faster business operations and accommodating larger and special paper types for varied printing needs.
The printer is also designed with sustainability in mind. It is constructed with 30% recycled plastics and equipped with technology to track its environmental impact. It provides users with information on paper usage and energy consumption, encouraging more sustainable practices.
Aziz added, "As a result of these trends, and in line with the continual evolution of our portfolio to meet business needs, we have developed imageFORCE, a new technology platform, which includes a wealth of pioneering innovations to empower organisations to grow and thrive, whilst helping them to be fully equipped for the future."
The launch of Canon's imageFORCE C7165 multifunction printer reflects the company's focus on leveraging AI and machine learning to address the evolving needs of businesses. With features that enhance print quality, security, and sustainability, the new technology platform allows organisations to optimise productivity while maintaining operational efficiency. This development reinforces Canon's commitment to innovation in the digital printing landscape, catering to both small and large-scale printing demands.
