Canon UK secures spot in University of Essex framework

Today

Canon UK has been announced as a supplier within the University of Essex framework for the provision of Multifunctional Print Devices and Associated Digital Transformation Solutions.

The framework, managed by Dukefield Procurement, is formulated to meet the printing requirements of educational establishments and the broader public sector. It facilitates access to a wide range of digital transformation solutions designed to improve efficiency for end users.

Canon's inclusion reflects its over 45-year experience in supporting the public sector, offering a diverse portfolio of hardware, software, and managed print services. The framework allows access to various devices, from small desktop printers to large reprographic machines, meeting different specifications including print speed, size, cost, security, and purchase or lease options.

Stephen Moody, Sector Director, Education at Canon UK & Ireland, commented on the development: "In today's rapidly changing world, we're pleased to have a partner who's driving digital transformation for education and public sector customers. We're excited to be a supplier of choice and believe that with the new University of Essex framework, we're able to support even more institutions with their print and document management needs."

Canon's multifunctional print devices (MFPs) are designed to integrate smoothly with smart software such as uniFLOW Online, to enhance productivity and efficiency. The company recently received the Buyers Lab (BLI) 2024-2025 Pacesetter Award in Serviceability, an industry recognition by Keypoint Intelligence for print and smart technology evaluation.

Jon Chamberlain, Group CEO at Dukefield, expressed optimism about working with Canon: "We're pleased to be working with Canon to add value to our customers who use the framework. We always aim to match education and public sector customers with excellent suppliers who can deliver a diverse range of offerings and have truly seen the benefits of our partnership with Canon over the years and its impact on our profitability."
