Checkmarx partners with e92spark to advance UK application security
Checkmarx has entered into a UK and Ireland distribution agreement with e92spark, a division of cybersecurity distributor e92plus, to expand the reach of its application security solutions among channel partners in the region.
The agreement will see e92spark become a key distributor of Checkmarx's products, aiming to widen the adoption of its agentic-AI powered application security testing platform. e92spark focuses on introducing emerging cybersecurity vendors to the UK market, with Checkmarx now joining a select group within its portfolio.
Channel strategy
"Our partnership with e92spark marks a significant step in our channel strategy. The team at e92plus is renowned for building partner networks and working with the most cutting-edge companies, so we are delighted to work together. There are significant opportunities available for partners in adding AppSec tools to their portfolios as enterprises tackle the growing challenge of developing and deploying secure code efficiently in the AI-era," comments Chris Ledingham, Director Northern Europe at Checkmarx.
Checkmarx aims to leverage e92plus's expertise to build new channel partnerships and to bring its suite of application security (AppSec) tools to a broader set of UK enterprises. e92spark emphasises delivering new technologies to partners through a selective process, ensuring technologies introduced are both advanced and reliable.
New research has highlighted the increasing urgency for secure software as development landscapes become increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence. In response to these trends, Checkmarx recently launched Developer Assist, described as the first in a series of agentic AI tools. This solution provides developers with real-time, context-aware security advice during coding, seeking to reduce the time required to address vulnerabilities.
Security priorities
He continues: "Every organisation, whether they are a bank, a retailer, a travel agent or an insurance broker, is now a software company, developing their own code and managing applications. We are committed to enabling organisations to get ahead of application risk, so their teams can detect and fix vulnerabilities early, creating code safely and securely to meet their business goals."
The UK application security sector is projected to generate revenue of GBP £363.83 million in 2025. Annual growth estimates suggest the market will expand at a rate of 12.67% between 2025 and 2030. The new partnership between Checkmarx and e92spark will include support in areas such as partner recruitment, go-to-market activities, demand generation, marketing, and training.
Market opportunities
Darryl Whiteman, Vendor Alliances Manager at e92spark, adds: "We know that partners are looking for guidance on how to harness growth opportunities by adding new and disruptive technologies to their portfolios. We can provide this 'first-mover' advantage through e92spark vendors."
He continues: "The team at Checkmarx fit the bill perfectly in being one of a select number of vendors in this cohort, with solutions that address a real and growing challenge; ensuring that applications are more secure from the first line of code up. We're excited to work with them and to help our partners capitalise on the huge opportunities in this rapidly expanding market."
The collaboration between Checkmarx and e92spark reflects the increasing significance of cybersecurity and application security as the UK's software development sector continues to evolve. Both organisations state their commitment to working closely with partners to support secure development processes and respond to changes brought by AI-driven application creation.
