CybaVerse acquires SecureAck to boost AI cyber platform for SMEs

Yesterday

CybaVerse has acquired SecureAck, a security automation platform, to enhance its platform and broaden support for small to mid-sized businesses and managed service providers.

The purchase of SecureAck is set to accelerate the development of CybaVerse's proprietary platform, CybaVerse AI. This move signals CybaVerse's intention to bolster its offerings for organisations and MSPs seeking adaptable cybersecurity solutions, whether fully outsourced, hybrid, or self-managed.

Acquisition details

The integration is expected to provide users with a more flexible and modular cybersecurity platform. CybaVerse explained that customers will benefit from rapid onboarding, increased interoperability across vendors, and more cost-effective protection options.

"We are delighted to announce our acquisition of SecureAck, which will significantly benefit both our internal teams and our customers. The announcement follows a year and a half of close collaboration between our teams, culminating in a shared product vision and complementary technology roadmap. The acquisition is a natural next step," said Oliver Spence, CEO of CybaVerse. "By combining forces, we're creating a truly vendor-agnostic, flexible platform that allows SMEs and MSPs to scale their cyber security operations on their own terms."

The agreement, concluded at the end of May 2025, will see SecureAck's engineering team transition to CybaVerse's existing offices. Customers of both businesses have been assured of continuity, with planned improvements in product support and functionality.

Platform benefits

CybaVerse aims to leverage SecureAck's scalable automation to simplify security for IT and operational technology environments. The consolidated platform is designed to enable customers to seamlessly transition between fully managed, hybrid, and self-run models.

The blended service offering will include a choice of pre-packaged and customisable modules. This approach is intended to make enterprise-grade security more accessible and affordable for SMEs and service providers, who often face barriers to adopting advanced solutions due to complexity or resource constraints.

Simon Phillips, CTO of SecureAck, said "This is about delivering enterprise-grade cyber security without enterprise complexity or cost. Our combined platform allows us to bring automation, AI, and deep security expertise to businesses who've traditionally lacked access to such capabilities."

With the two firms coming together, CybaVerse and SecureAck have pledged to continue serving the UK market through 2025. There are also plans for international expansion in 2026, reflecting growing demand for outsourced and hybrid cybersecurity operations globally.

Future plans

In addition to the acquisition, CybaVerse is currently raising a new funding round. These funds will be used to support the company's growth and the ongoing development of CybaVerse AI, which underpins the firm's vision for AI-powered cybersecurity. No financial terms for the acquisition or details of the funding round were disclosed.

CybaVerse and SecureAck have a history of collaboration, with over a year of joint work preceding the signing of the deal. The companies report that this established relationship facilitated alignment of their respective product visions and technology roadmaps.

The focus on providing modular, adaptable cybersecurity services for the SME segment and channel partners comes as organisations seek greater flexibility in choosing managed, hybrid, or self-run security deployments in response to an evolving threat landscape and increasing regulatory requirements. CybaVerse's stated intent is to provide automation and AI-powered solutions to help organisations remain resilient and responsive to cyber risks.

The SecureAck acquisition is part of CybaVerse's ongoing strategy to build a vendor-agnostic platform that can be tailored to differing customer requirements while maintaining streamlined processes and cost efficiency.
