EcoOnline named Leader in Verdantix Green Quadrant

EcoOnline has been named a Leader in the Verdantix Green Quadrant for EHS Software 2026, marking the third consecutive time it has received the ranking.

The assessment gave EcoOnline the highest score among vendors for Safety Management and placed it among the top three for Chemicals Management, Training and Contractor Safety.

Verdantix said the market for environmental, health and safety software is shifting as buyers look beyond single-purpose tools and seek broader systems that connect day-to-day safety work with wider operational risk. It also highlighted EcoOnline's lone worker offering as a distinguishing feature.

The finding follows continued investment in EcoOnline's EcoOne platform, designed to bring together worker protection, risk management and specialist safety processes. Its partner network now includes more than 50 reseller, integration and technology partners.

Safety focus

Safety Management was EcoOnline's strongest area in the Verdantix assessment. The score reflected the breadth of processes covered by its software, including identifying risks, managing incidents and learning from events.

The report also ranked EcoOnline highly in Chemicals Management, an area central to the company's development. Verdantix noted its in-house safety data sheet team and an artificial intelligence-based extraction tool that shows source documents alongside extracted fields in a single interface.

Contractor Safety and Training were also cited as strengths, as buyers increasingly look for systems that connect frontline safety activity with broader preparedness and response needs.

Buyer demand

Verdantix framed the ranking within a broader shift in procurement priorities, saying software used for environmental, health and safety functions is increasingly being treated as a strategic tool rather than a standalone compliance application.

Brittany Sayers, Senior Analyst at Verdantix, said buyers in larger segments of the market were placing greater weight on breadth and integration.

"EHS software is increasingly utilised as a strategic tool. Buyers are looking beyond standalone applications to integrated platforms. In mid-market and enterprise segments, buyers seeking broad capabilities across safety, chemicals management and sustainability will find EcoOnline a compelling option. EcoOnline combines an intuitive user experience with native business intelligence capabilities and a well-developed partner ecosystem, comprising more than 50 reseller, integration and technology partners," said Sayers.

Partner network

Partnerships were another area where EcoOnline scored strongly in the Verdantix research. It has added more than 25 new technology and services partnerships over the past two years, taking its broader ecosystem to more than 50 partners.

The network is intended to give customers access to external specialist expertise as they combine software with advisory, integration and other services. EcoOnline cited ties with the National Safety Council and J.S. Held among the more recent additions.

EcoOnline said more than 11,000 businesses use its software across environment, health and safety, chemical management and sustainability functions. The latest Verdantix ranking underlines its position in a market where suppliers are increasingly judged on how well they combine worker safety, chemicals oversight, training and operational risk in one system.
