Flowtica has opened reservations for Verso, a magnetic AI voice recorder that attaches to a smartphone. The device costs GBP £150 for customers who place a GBP £7.50 reservation.

It will be available more widely later at GBP £169.50 for non-reservation orders. The reservation offer also includes three months of Flowtica's Unlimited AI plan and a Folio Lite notebook.

Verso is designed to sit on the back of a phone and show live transcription and other text on an always-on e-paper display. It works with both iPhone and Android handsets and is aimed at people who want to record meetings, phone calls and other work conversations without constantly switching between apps.

The product weighs about 70g and uses a magnetic mount. It has 64GB of onboard storage, USB-C charging and a quoted battery life of up to 72 hours.

Verso can capture in-person conversations through an audio system that includes four MEMS microphones and a bone-conduction microphone. It can also record phone calls through a contact microphone when attached to the back of a smartphone, and can be used for online meetings through the Flowtica Mac desktop app.

After a recording is made, Flowtica's cloud-based AI system produces transcription, speaker separation and meeting summaries. Users can also mark moments during conversations with a feature called FlowMark, while a dedicated Ask AI button lets them search past notes, draft follow-up emails and call up meeting context on the display.

Device category

The launch places Flowtica in a growing area of workplace hardware that combines recording, transcription and summarisation in dedicated physical devices. Rather than relying only on smartphone apps or laptop software, Verso uses a separate screen to keep notes and prompts visible during a conversation.

Flowtica describes the product as a "second surface" for professional use. Its always-on e-paper screen is intended to show essential information without the notifications and visual interruptions associated with a smartphone display.

According to Flowtica, the screen has a resolution of 259 pixels per inch and remains readable in direct sunlight. The display can also hold an image without drawing power.

Verso includes a visible on-screen recording indicator during capture. The feature is intended to make recording status clear in workplaces where transparency matters, including meetings involving clients or sensitive discussions.

Workplace use

Flowtica has positioned the device for a broad range of professional users, including executives, lawyers, clinicians, sales teams and financial advisers. The idea is that workers in those roles often need a quick view of decisions, action points and follow-up tasks while moving between meetings.

The hardware can also be mounted on a desk stand, worn on a lanyard or placed on another magnetic surface. It also includes an NFC digital business card feature for sharing contact details with a tap, along with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for managing or archiving content.

Verso was first shown publicly at IFA 2026, where it received awards from Techlicious, Apartment Therapy and Trusted Reviews. Those early accolades gave the product visibility before reservations opened.

Pricing model

Alongside the device itself, Flowtica is offering free, premium and unlimited paid subscription tiers. The reservation package is designed to lower the upfront cost of the hardware while adding temporary access to the higher-end software plan.

That approach reflects a broader pattern in AI-related hardware, where recurring software income is tied to devices sold at a lower initial price. In Flowtica's case, the core functions around transcription, summaries and AI responses depend on a cloud service rather than only local processing.

According to Flowtica, the device supports multilingual transcription and can handle up to 15 speakers at a range of as much as five metres. The system is also intended to surface earlier notes before meetings, capture key moments during discussions and show next steps after a conversation ends.

Flowtica describes itself as an AI hardware and productivity company focused on reducing digital distraction. Its design approach is based on building products that preserve focus rather than compete for attention.
