Flowtica has opened reservations for Verso, a magnetic AI voice recorder and e-paper productivity device. It will go on general sale at a higher price after the reservation period ends.

Customers can reserve the device for GBP £7.50, securing a purchase price of GBP £150, plus three months of the Unlimited AI plan and a Folio Lite notebook. Orders placed without a reservation will cost GBP £169.50.

Verso attaches to the back of a smartphone and shows live transcription, summaries and follow-up tasks on an always-on e-paper screen. It is designed to work with both iPhone and Android handsets, using MagSafe compatibility for supported phones and a magnet ring for Android devices.

The device can record in-person conversations, phone calls and online meetings through Flowtica's Mac desktop app. It also includes a dedicated Ask AI button, allowing users to query previous notes, draft follow-up emails and retrieve meeting context on the display.

Flowtica is targeting workers who move between frequent meetings and want notes visible without opening a phone. Verso weighs about 70g and offers up to 72 hours of battery life, according to the company.

Recording functions

The hardware includes four MEMS microphones and one contact microphone. Flowtica said the setup can capture up to 15 speakers from as far as five metres away.

A recording indicator remains visible on the screen while the device is in use, intended to make recording activity clear in workplaces and other sensitive settings.

After audio is captured, Flowtica processes it through cloud-based AI tools for multilingual transcription, speaker separation and structured summaries. Users can also mark points during a conversation using a feature called FlowMark.

Display and design

Verso has a 259 PPI e-paper touchscreen and a frame made from a single piece of aluminium-magnesium alloy. Flowtica said the display is readable in direct sunlight and can retain an image without power.

The device includes 64GB of onboard storage, USB-C charging, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and an NFC digital business card feature. It can be attached to a phone, worn on a lanyard, placed on a desk stand or fixed to other magnetic surfaces.

Flowtica said Verso was first shown at IFA 2026, where it received awards from Techlicious, Apartment Therapy and Trusted Reviews. The launch puts the company in a growing market for AI note-taking tools designed to organise conversations and automate follow-up work.

Flowtica outlined several workplace use cases, including executives reviewing decisions between meetings, lawyers capturing client discussions, sales staff keeping action items visible, clinicians using a camera-free recording device and creators logging ideas. The examples reflect a broader push to move AI tools from software-only services into dedicated hardware.

Flowtica said free, premium and unlimited paid subscription models will be available alongside the device. It said: "Verso attaches directly to the back of a smartphone and features an integrated, always-on e-paper touchscreen that displays live transcription, summaries, follow-ups and AI-generated answers."
