Integrity boosts UK capacity with Canon varioPRINT iX3200

Thu, 26th Feb 2026

Integrity Communications Group has added Canon's varioPRINT iX3200 digital inkjet press to its UK production operations as part of an ongoing modernisation programme.

The installation is intended to scale capacity and improve efficiency on high-volume work while maintaining consistent output during peak periods. It also extends a relationship with Canon that has included several production devices since 2016.

Integrity works across customer communications, labels, security print and commercial print. It also runs a specialist unit, Integrity Connect, focused on data-sensitive communications for local government, social housing, elections and other regulated markets.

The group was founded in 2008 following a management buyout from Communisis. It now describes itself as a £70m multi-site organisation serving sectors including financial services, utilities, the public sector and retail.

Peak production

Integrity runs round-the-clock production five days a week and faces two pronounced peak periods in February and September. Demand rises as housing providers issue annual rent reviews and service charge information-regulated mailings with mandated delivery deadlines.

The varioPRINT iX3200 is expected to help sustain this workload. It also provides additional headroom as volumes rise and as jobs move between facilities across the group's UK network.

The iX3200 is a sheetfed digital inkjet press positioned by Canon for high-volume colour work and for operations looking to shift jobs from other printing processes without changing their overall production model.

Wider applications

Integrity expects the press to broaden the range of applications it can produce. It pointed to direct mail marketing, charity fundraising campaigns and travel communications as areas where demand is growing for colour-rich work.

It also cited a wider substrate range and consistent colour reproduction. This, it said, improves flexibility when customers specify different media types or when deadlines tighten and jobs need to move quickly between devices.

Canon and Integrity also highlighted service and support features designed to strengthen resilience. The press will use Canon's secure remote diagnostics and predictive maintenance model, which monitors performance and flags potential issues before they disrupt output.

Integrity said it saw benefits from this approach during an earlier deployment of Canon's VarioPrint i300, with engineers arriving on site with replacement parts ahead of expected wear.

Secure environment

The rollout is being managed by Canon's professional services and field service teams working with Integrity's engineering and IT staff. Integration is taking place within a secure production environment, including dual on-site data centres and encrypted data workflows.

The setup reflects Integrity's exposure to regulated and data-sensitive work, where print production often sits alongside strict controls on file transfer, access permissions and audit requirements.

Alongside the iX3200, Integrity's Canon installed base includes the VarioPrint i300, ColourStream 6700 and imagePRESS V700. These devices have supported a wider programme to standardise equipment and streamline throughput across sites.

Integrity is considering adding a second iX-series device later in 2026 if growth continues and diversification into new sectors progresses as planned. Any further purchase would depend on demand and the performance of the current installation within its production schedule.

Andrew Law, Sales & Marketing Director at Integrity Communications Group, said:

"Canon's technology has played a crucial role in transforming our print operations over the last five years. The reliability of the equipment has been outstanding, giving us complete confidence during our busy periods and allowing us to deliver consistent results for our customers. The varioPRINT iX3200 is an exciting next step for us - enabling us to take efficiency to the next level while also opening up opportunities for us to diversify our offering."

Stuart Rising, Head of Graphic Arts at Canon UK & Ireland, said: "Integrity Communications Group has built an impressive reputation by combining operational excellence with a clear vision for future growth. We are proud to continue supporting their journey with the varioPRINT iX3200, which will deliver new levels of speed, quality and flexibility across their operations. This investment reflects the strength of our partnership and the shared ambition to explore new opportunities and expand into high-value print markets."
