ISB Global strengthens SAP ties, bolsters waste disposal innovation
ISB Global, the UK-based provider of software for the global waste management and recycling industry, is enhancing its ties with SAP, the multinational enterprise resource planning software company. ISB Global has been designated an SAP Industry Cloud Partner, fostering innovation and digital transformation in the waste management sector.
The company's pioneering software platform, Waste and Recycling One (WR1), has received recognition as an SAP Industry Cloud-certified solution. Highlighting its status, Miquel Carbo, Director for Water & Waste Management at SAP's Utilities Industry Business Unit, stated, "ISB Global's WR1 represents a cutting-edge, industry-specific solution consistent with revolutionising waste and recycling management in the cloud."
"The Industry Cloud partnership allows ISB Global and SAP to deliver a robust joint cloud-based offering, enabling waste and recycling companies to scale, adapt with agility, and prioritise their core business operations."
This development comes after ISB Global reported a revenue growth of 43% in 2023, with plans for further expansion in 2024 featuring the US launch of the WR1 platform. This will extend the company's presence in the North American market.
Having been rigorously evaluated, the WR1 platform meets SAP's rigorous quality standards. Pritesh Pattni, ISB Global Chief Commercial Officer, emphasised that being named a SAP Industry Cloud Partner bolsters their visibility among SAP customers and validates their credentials as an SAP-ready strategic partner. "Customers can be confident in WR1's reliability, scalability and compliance. The WR1 platform stands alone as the only complete, fully integrated SAP-ready solution for waste management operators worldwide", he said.
Becoming an SAP Industry Cloud-approved solution offers considerable operational benefits to both existing WR1 customers and prospective new ones. The certification enables seamless integration with other SAP systems and various third-party applications, presenting users with an interconnected and unified SAP-based IT environment. It also affirms that the WR1 solution aligns with SAP's roadmap for future updates and innovations, future-proofing the platform and ensuring its ongoing value for customers.
Pattni further commented on the complexities of the waste management and recycling industry, stating the necessity of operators automating and digitalising their operations and back-office processes. "Being named an SAP Industry Cloud certified solution underscores the WR1 platform's effectiveness in meeting the particular operational needs and challenges of the waste management industry," he noted.
Additionally, the fact that the WR1 platform is now recognised as an "SAP ready" solution is of significance. To earn this status, a solution must solve a specific business problem of one or more industries, either as an extension of an existing end-to-end process already in SAP's portfolio of business solutions or as a new, self-contained process. Furthermore, it must be a Public Cloud solution, available as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model via any one of the public cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) providers.
In the wake of these developments, ISB Global CEO Chris Williams will co-host an online SAP Espresso Session alongside SAP's Director of Water and Waste Management, Miquel Carbo, on 10th April. The session will explore WR1's capabilities and its transformative impact on the waste industry.
