Kodak Alaris unveils major upgrades for scanner range
Kodak Alaris has announced a significant upgrade to its range of document scanners, including the KODAK S2085f Scanner, the S3000 Series, and the S3000 Max Series.
The updates are designed to offer expanded flexibility to meet the evolving needs of customers and comply with the Federal Agencies Digital Guidelines Initiative (FADGI) for government records.
These enhancements aim to improve speed, accuracy, and versatility, thereby supporting seamless workflow automation across various business scenarios. The scanners maintain the company's focus on high-quality image processing.
One of the key features of the updated scanners is their ability to switch between different imaging modes to optimise scanning operations according to specific workflow requirements. The Host image processing mode leverages the attached PC's resources to enhance scanning speed, particularly in high-volume production environments where efficiency is critical.
Alternatively, the onboard image processing mode minimises the demands on the PC, allowing for multi-tasking during scanning operations. Importantly, these scanners now include support for FADGI standards, offering a straightforward switch to enable this mode when needed.
Megan Bevilacqua, Senior Product Manager at Kodak Alaris, commented on the update, saying, "These best-in-class scanners stand out for their superior image quality and versatile media handling capabilities. We continue to invest in our product lines to ensure we add value and address the changing needs of our customers in a world where paper-based and native digital data coexist, helping them to make sense of their information."
"This latest refresh builds on our long history of leadership in the document capture space and further enhances our broad scanner portfolio, combining unparalleled ease of use with proprietary features to make it easy for users to capture paper-based information and deliver the data into core business applications, quickly and accurately. With the introduction of multiple image processing modes, we can provide our customers with much greater flexibility to support their business and enable productivity growth that lasts."
The latest updates to Kodak Alaris' document scanners highlight the ongoing evolution of technology to meet industry standards and user demands. By incorporating enhanced imaging modes and FADGI compliance, these scanners provide practical solutions for businesses navigating the challenges of managing digital and paper-based information.
