MongoDB launches pioneering AI Applications Program
Software company MongoDB has announced the release of the MongoDB AI Applications Program (MAAP), a comprehensive initiative designed to assist companies in building and integrating generative AI technology within their applications at scale. This program is the first of its kind, merging MongoDB's expertise with an array of industry leaders such as Anthropic, AWS, Cohere, Google Cloud, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Microsoft Azure, and others. Its aim is to provide an end-to-end solution, from ideation through to deployment, aimed squarely at transforming innovative concepts into real-world AI applications.
Alan Chhabra, EVP of Worldwide Partners at MongoDB, explains: "We've seen tremendous enthusiasm for generative AI among our customers, from agile startups to established global enterprises. These organisations leverage MongoDB's cutting-edge technology and comprehensive services. Some are still navigating how best to integrate generative AI to solve the right business problems. That's where the MongoDB AI Applications Program comes in. This program combines our robust developer data platform, MongoDB Atlas, with our own expertise, professional services, and strategic partnerships with leaders in generative AI technologies." MAAP, according to Chhabra, is set to revolutionise productivity, customer interactions, and industry advancements.
As more organisations lean towards modernising their applications to meet rising customer standards, several have faced the crossroads of having to trade off long-term success for short-term results, due to legacy technology or costly add-on solutions. However, MAAP trumpets a solution that provides strategic framework, expert professional services, and technological roadmap that allows businesses to identify problems and work backwards to their solutions with innovative generative AI applications. By uniting MongoDB's technology, which allows app deployment with a unified developer data platform, with the strategic partnerships of industry-leading consultancies and generative AI companies, companies will have the tools to deploy secure, high-performing applications accurately.
The program also offers customised engagement where organisations can engage in generative AI jump-start sessions with industry specialists, identify internal business challenges that generative AI could potentially solve, and then allow MongoDB Professional Services to lead a hackathon to develop a feasible solution.
Companies such as ACI Worldwide, Arc XP, and Scalestack have acknowledged the effectiveness of MongoDB's tailored initiatives and the remarkable contributions of its professional services and technical teams. For instance, Scalestack's Elio Narciso, Co-founder and CEO clarified, "MongoDB's partnerships and integrations have helped us fine-tune AI models to specific use cases, enhancing Spotlights performance."
Partners of MongoDB who are involved in MAAP are equally optimistic about the program's potential. From AWS's Chris Grusz categorising generative AI as a "transformative technology" that will revolutionise businesses, to Google Cloud's Stephen Orban looking forward to extending their collaboration with MongoDB, all parties involved in MAAP agree that the collective aim is to provide enterprises with valuable resources and tools to successfully build and deploy generative AI applications.
