Panasonic TOUGHBOOK has launched a European partner programme, ELEVATE, covering the UK and Ireland as part of its wider regional operations.

The scheme introduces a tiered reseller structure, a deal registration system, training and certification, and performance-linked financial incentives. It includes three reseller levels - Authorised, Expert and Elite - alongside a certified ISV track and a separate framework for distributors.

The move reshapes how TOUGHBOOK works with channel partners across the region and formalises commercial terms for registered opportunities. Partners gain pricing clarity and access to discounts when deals are logged through the new system.

Channel changes

Training accompanies the commercial changes through Panasonic TOUGHBOOK's Basecamp platform, which is aimed at both partners entering the rugged mobility market and existing firms seeking deeper technical and sales expertise.

Basecamp is organised around three routes: Rugged Foundations, Winning with TOUGHBOOK, and TOUGHBOOK Technical Expertise. Partners that complete certifications receive badges and certificates, while certification also unlocks additional benefits within the deal registration scheme.

The highest tier carries further incentives. Elite resellers can work with Panasonic on annual growth plans, quarterly business reviews and recruitment incentives, while also qualifying for rebates tied to agreed revenue goals.

Distributors will operate under a separate model, with authorised distributors supported through a dedicated framework by Panasonic's account management teams.

Wider investment

The launch comes as Panasonic TOUGHBOOK marks 30 years in Europe and expands other parts of its regional operation. These include service and solutions centres in Cardiff and Budapest, work on its Mobile-IT As-A-Service offer, and new AI-enabled rugged devices.

Those investments provide context for the partner overhaul, which Panasonic describes as part of a channel-first sales approach. The new programme is intended to give partners more certainty over pipeline management and a clearer path to higher rewards.

Damien Fernandez outlined the rationale for the changes in a statement accompanying the launch. "ELEVATE gives our partners the commercial structure, predictability, and financial incentives they need to build their business with confidence. At a time when predictability matters more than ever in the channel, ELEVATE gives partners the stability to plan, invest, and grow," said Fernandez, European Partner and Channel Manager, Panasonic TOUGHBOOK.

He also linked the programme to the company's long-standing position in rugged mobile computing and its partner relationships. "Over the last three decades, Panasonic has earned the trust of mission-critical workers by engineering rugged mobility solutions that keep mobile workers connected and productive in any environment. ELEVATE extends that long-term trust to the partner ecosystem by providing a dependable framework for a channel-first future," Fernandez said.
