Pulsant appoints Jon Arnold as Chief Commercial Officer

Pulsant has appointed Jon Arnold as Chief Commercial Officer. He joins from Global Switch.

Arnold will join Pulsant's Executive Leadership Team and lead its sales, commercial, and client relationship functions. His remit includes working with clients as demand rises for regional infrastructure in the UK, including services linked to artificial intelligence deployments.

The appointment comes as operators across the data centre and digital infrastructure market seek to position themselves for rising demand from businesses that want to place computing and data services closer to users and workloads. Pulsant has been expanding its regional infrastructure footprint across the UK as customers look for sovereign and locally distributed options.

Arnold brings more than 25 years of experience in digital infrastructure, data centres, and enterprise technology. Before Global Switch, he held senior roles at Volta Data Centres, Daisy Group, MCI Worldcom, and Siemens.

At Global Switch, Arnold served as Executive Group Director for Sales and Strategic Accounts. The role gave him experience serving large corporate customers and strategic accounts at an international data centre operator with facilities in several major markets.

Pulsant operates a UK-wide digital infrastructure and data centre platform. It says hundreds of businesses use its network to connect to data, cloud, connectivity, and digital services, supported by an ecosystem of more than 1,600 technology providers that enable access to wider networks and traffic routing.

The business has been building its position around regional presence in the UK market. That strategy reflects a wider shift in the sector, as businesses increasingly weigh factors such as data location, network access, and the need to support newer applications that require lower latency or local processing.

For UK providers, that trend also intersects with interest in sovereign infrastructure, particularly among customers that want services hosted domestically or delivered through regional facilities rather than through a single hub. That has given operators with established sites around the country a way to differentiate themselves in a competitive market.
