RETN named most connected network at London Internet Exchange

Yesterday

RETN has been recognised as the most connected network across the London Internet Exchange, according to the latest annual metrics from LINX.

The announcement is based on data from LINX's annual ConneXions Reseller Partner metrics, which were presented at the recent LINX Member Meeting and AGM in London. LINX, which operates internet exchange points in the UK and internationally, connects more than 900 member Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) from over 80 countries.

RETN was named the top-performing European reseller for the volume of networks it has brought to LINX through its reseller programme. The company was also acknowledged for facilitating the highest number of unique network connections across LINX's platforms in 2025, highlighting the scale and diversity of its international operations.

Jennifer Holmes, Chief Executive Officer of LINX, commented, "Reseller partners like RETN play a key role in expanding access to LINX's interconnection fabric. These partnerships allow networks in new geographies to connect into the UK's internet core, supporting a more resilient and distributed global internet."

LINX's recognition of RETN draws attention to the company's activities as a ConneXions partner. This role enables RETN to offer customers worldwide the opportunity to view LINX, even if they do not have existing local infrastructure in the UK. RETN's network includes more than 970 Points of Presence across 44 countries, with its headquarters in London.

Tony O'Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer of RETN, said, "We're pleased to see our role in enabling greater connectivity across the LINX platform recognised through this data. Peering in the UK remains central to many of our customers' strategies, and LINX continues to be one of the most trusted and essential exchanges globally."

The ConneXions Reseller Partnership metrics provide an annual measure of performance among LINX's partners. The 'Top Reseller for European Connections' category is based on the volume of networks introduced to LINX through its reseller programme. The 'Most Networks Connected' metric recognises the partner who has facilitated the most unique connections to the exchange, reflecting the extent of their reach and diverse client base.

Participation in LINX's ConneXions partner scheme enables international network providers to expand their reach into the UK and Europe without a direct physical presence, leveraging existing partner infrastructure. This supports a globally distributed internet infrastructure, which LINX says is key to resilience and growth in the sector.
