Salesforce debuts AgentExchange for digital labour market

Yesterday

Salesforce has announced the launch of AgentExchange, a marketplace for its digital labour platform Agentforce, aimed at partners and developers in the digital labour market.

AgentExchange aims to broaden the capabilities of Salesforce's digital labour platform, which is similar to the company's previously released AppExchange. AppExchange has seen significant success as the first enterprise cloud marketplace, amassing over 13 million app installations. In comparison, AgentExchange is tailored to enhance the functionality of Agentforce with AI agent deployment tools, assisting businesses in saving time and resources through ready-to-use templates and add-ons. This marketplace also allows partners to list and sell their components.

More than 200 partners have already engaged with AgentExchange, including major companies like Google Cloud, Docusign, and Box. These partners are providing trusted Agentforce solutions to expedite the development of AI agents. AgentExchange is equipped with hundreds of ready-made actions, topics, and templates designed to pass rigorous security and customer reviews, which organisations can utilise to quickly develop and implement AI agents, thereby enhancing productivity and efficiency.

Mark Stewart, CEO and President of Goodyear, commented on the launch: "Accelerating our speed of execution is critical to Goodyear's ability to deliver for our customers and maximise our end-to-end value proposition. We're excited about the potential of the ready-to-use solutions from AgentExchange to enhance our speed, efficiency, and customer experience."

AgentExchange allows partners to offer various types of agentic components, such as actions, prompt templates, topics, and agent templates. These help organisations focus on industry-specific solutions and facilitate AI agents' integration and improved functionality within business operations. Combining actions with pre-written prompts, the platform aims to ensure consistent results and provides a basis for systematic agent behaviour.

Brian Landsman, Executive Vice President & General Manager, Global Business Development & Partnerships at Salesforce, said: "When we launched AppExchange in 2005, it helped our customers get even more value from our platform with prebuilt apps, workflows, and integrations. It also gave our partners an opportunity to participate in the emerging cloud economy and build thriving businesses. With AgentExchange, we're doing much the same — opening up Agentforce for partners, startups, and Agentblazers to participate in the digital labour market and build agentic AI on Salesforce."

Alice Steinglass, Executive Vice President & General Manager of Platform, Integration and Automation at Salesforce, added: "AgentExchange empowers customers to seamlessly integrate trusted AI solutions within their workflow. Now our developer community can directly tap the expertise of our partner ecosystem to get the right industry-specific solutions so they can build and implement AI agents, and be the pioneers turning their businesses into Agentforce companies."

Among the partners on board, Google Cloud leverages Agentforce agents using Vertex AI to reference current data and events, while Box enables AI-driven interactions with unstructured data. Docusign integrates agent actions to automate workflow related to agreements and document management, aiming for efficiency and reduced complexity in customer workflows.

Larry Jin, Vice President of Product Management at Docusign, stated: "AgentExchange unlocks new technology and markets for Docusign, expanding our reach and impact. We've worked closely with Salesforce to develop agent actions to seamlessly integrate them into our customers' workflows. Our sales and service customers will now be able to leverage Agentforce and Docusign to automate common agreement-related tasks without the complexity of developing their own proprietary agentic technology."

AgentExchange is available now, offering partners and users access to trusted, industry-specific AI solutions that are regularly reviewed for security and customer feedback. This marketplace bolsters collaboration and innovation among businesses, partners, and individuals engaged in developing agentic AI solutions.
