SenseOn introduces AI case summaries to boost security

Fri, 14th Feb 2025

SenseOn has launched new AI-powered capabilities to enhance cybersecurity response times through the introduction of AI-generated case summaries.

The new feature, designed to empower security teams, aims to transform complex security incidents into clear and actionable intelligence, thereby significantly reducing investigation times. The case summaries leverage generative AI, integrated with SenseOn's system, and trained by the Security Operations Centre (SOC) team, to provide concise summaries highlighting risks and critical details of security cases.

Each summary synthesises data from various sources such as network endpoints, cloud and identity data. This comprehensive approach helps security teams to concentrate on high-confidence incidents, effectively cutting down the time required to respond to threats. Tasks that previously took analysts up to 30 minutes can now be completed almost instantly, thanks to AI's ability to process large volumes of data swiftly.

The integration of AI-generated case summaries is expected to bring several benefits to SenseOn customers. These include immediate insights through quick analysis and synthesis of data, reduced alert fatigue by offering more relevant evidence and context, and continuous learning for the AI engine to improve detection and recommendations over time. These features combined aim to facilitate quicker understandings of security incidents and empower teams to respond more effectively.

David Atkinson, CEO of SenseOn, said: "The launch of AI-generated case summaries reinforces our leading position in driving cybersecurity transformation. By developing our solution in close collaboration with our SOC team, we've ensured it addresses the real-world challenges our customers face, providing them with the exact capabilities they need to protect their organisations while maintaining direct access to a human SOC."

Atkinson added that SenseOn is committed to transparency in all stages of the development of AI capabilities, ensuring that customers are informed of significant changes. The company takes pride in upholding the highest data privacy standards and continues to provide control over new features.

SenseOn has indicated that the AI-generated case summaries will be available to its customers at no additional cost. Looking towards future developments, the company plans to enhance the platform further with natural language querying capabilities by the summer of 2025. These additions aim to provide deeper insights into IT hygiene and further streamline cybersecurity processes.

This announcement comes amid a broader context of an ongoing skills shortage in the cybersecurity industry. The new capabilities are intended not only to improve response times but also to assist stretched teams, enabling less experienced members to contribute more significantly and effectively through AI support.

SenseOn reports a reduction in Mean Time to Respond (MTTR) to just 16 minutes, illustrating the effectiveness of the new features. These enhancements are anticipated to allow teams to act with increased confidence and speed, alleviating some of the burdens faced in maintaining organisational security under escalating threats.
