The RAC wins award for AI-powered test automation boost

The RAC has been awarded the SmartBear Automation All-Star Award for significantly improving testing efficiency using the Zephyr Scale, a no-code test automation tool incorporating AI technology.

SmartBear, a company providing software quality solutions, has recognised the RAC for its notable achievements in optimising test processes. The RAC has successfully cut testing time by more than half using the Jira-native Zephyr Scale. The motoring services organisation, which supports nearly 14 million members in the UK, has seen a remarkable improvement in speed and efficiency in its testing procedures.

Chris Lewis, Test Analysis at the RAC, expressed satisfaction with the outcomes following the implementation of Zephyr Scale: "Since implementing Zephyr Scale in our regression testing, it has not only been excellent at identifying bugs that may have been missed with previous tools, but it has boosted our team's confidence. Its low-code requirements have empowered our testers to showcase their work, and we have enhanced team morale and efficiency. Using Zephyr Scale's AI-based no-code automation, the RAC reduced the time required for manual regression testing from 60-90 minutes to just 20 minutes. Previous attempts to use other no-code automation tools only managed to bring this figure down to 45 minutes, often hindered by automation failures due to changes. Zephyr Scale, enhanced with HaloAI, allows testers to convert manual tests into automated formats efficiently and without coding expertise, regardless of their technical prowess.
