Thom Langford appointed EMEA CTO of Rapid7

Thom Langford has been named as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Rapid7 in the EMEA region.

In his new role, Langford is set to utilise his extensive experience in information security, compliance, and risk management to support Rapid7's customers and prospects. With an established history of advocating for advanced and accessible cybersecurity methodologies, Langford's contributions will play a significant role in assisting Rapid7's global clientele in integrating cloud risk management with threat detection, ultimately aiming to reduce attack surfaces and efficiently eliminate threats.

Langford is widely recognised in the information security domain, having most recently served as Director of European Cybersecurity at DXC Technology. He has an impressive background in educating global audiences on intricate security topics through dynamic and approachable storytelling. Additionally, his previous roles include serving as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at both Velonetic and Publicis Groupe, where he balanced the security needs of various stakeholders within the London Insurance Market and beyond.

Beyond his corporate roles, Langford is a noted international speaker and has received awards for his contributions as a security blogger and filmmaker. He founded Host Unknown, a collective focused on crafting security education alongside engaging infotainment, ensuring he maintains a unique and continuously evolving perspective on the challenges presently faced by cybersecurity leaders.
