TMX Transform appoints Frances Farren as UK director

TMX Transform has appointed Frances Farren as Portfolio Director in the UK, expanding the consultancy's property and portfolio management offering in the region.

Farren joins from Royal Mail, where she spent nearly two decades in senior property roles. Most recently, she was Portfolio Strategy and Projects Director, working on estate strategy and investment planning across the postal group's operational property network.

At TMX, she will lead the UK portfolio management service. The appointment also brings the UK business into line with a model already used in Australia, where the consultancy combines property, project and supply chain advisory services.

It is the latest in a series of senior hires for the UK and Europe business, following the appointments of Stephen Vickers as Director - Property & Project Services and Tom Fitz-Walter as Managing Director - UK and Europe.

Royal Mail background

At Royal Mail, Farren led several major property programmes. She was national lead for the building fabric survey and RAAC remediation programme, which won the CIR Business Continuity Award for "Partnership in Recovery" in 2025.

Earlier in her career, she led the property strategy and delivery of Royal Mail's Midlands Super Hub, an automated distribution centre developed as part of the group's network investment and shift toward parcel operations.

Her appointment gives TMX senior occupier-side experience in estate planning, investment decision-making and portfolio strategy, complementing Vickers' background in the development and delivery of industrial property.

Demand has risen for advice that links supply chain planning with transport and property decisions. Across the UK and Europe, businesses have faced pressure on their networks from global disruption, driving broader demand for specialist support in reshaping operational estates and distribution footprints.

UK expansion

TMX has been building its UK leadership team as it seeks to grow beyond its Australian base. The company operates in supply chain consulting, industrial real estate and project management, serving clients across sectors including retail, manufacturing, food and beverage, and eCommerce.

Fitz-Walter said the appointment is intended to broaden the firm's offer to clients making property decisions tied to wider operational strategy.

For TMX, the appointment adds experience from one of Britain's largest logistics and property operations at a time when warehouse networks, transport links and estate costs remain under close scrutiny. Companies across the region have been reassessing where to invest, what to consolidate and how to manage sites that support changing fulfilment and delivery patterns.

Farren said the role will focus on helping occupiers align property decisions more closely with the demands of their wider operations.
