TrilbyTV expands digital signage with new resources for schools

Yesterday

TrilbyTV has introduced four new content items to its digital signage platform aimed at supporting curricular and pastoral priorities in UK schools.

The company has positioned these additions as resources that schools can utilise to keep digital signage both current and relevant, addressing the ongoing challenge of maintaining engaging and timely on-screen content.

Ben Stanley, Director at TrilbyTV, commented, "With our education experience, we know how busy schools are, which is why we help by building curriculum-relevant signage content they can simply click and add to screens alongside their own."

The new content includes 'Exam Tips', a collection designed to provide students with practical revision ideas, guidance for test days, and support with exam results. This resource aims to help students navigate the demands of exam season and is intended for flexible display on school digital signage screens.

Another entry, 'Myths and Facts', was created in partnership with Peach Wellness Academy. Peach Wellness Academy specialises in Doctor-developed, interactive, video-based learning and seeks to address the spread of online misinformation about mental and physical health. The 'Myths and Facts' collection aims to equip students with accurate knowledge on managing health and wellbeing.

The 'Kings and Queens' content offers information on the history of the United Kingdom's monarchy. The resource profiles 58 monarchs, pairing illustrations and key details with the time periods in which they ruled, and is intended for educational displays throughout schools.

A further addition, 'Tech Timeline', covers notable technological milestones, from the first radio broadcast to artificial intelligence and other significant inventions. The content includes questions such as when the barcode was created or who invented the Rubik's cube, introducing a new innovation each time the resource is displayed.

Stanley explained the development process for this new offering, stating, "We're always keen to hear customer feedback and to build new and exciting features and content around the needs of our users. The new Tech Timeline came from a school visit where we saw a display of technology over the years which inspired us. We hope schools continue to provide feedback and also feel inspired by these new additions to start generating their own great-looking digital signage content."

TrilbyTV allows schools to add new content from its Content Catalogue to their digital signage feeds with a few clicks. This workflow is designed to provide flexibility, enabling users to assign resources to specific categories and playlists, schedule display times and locations, and follow a straightforward approval process similar to that for user-generated uploads.

The Content Catalogue is a feature available to all TrilbyTV platform customers, specifically designed for the education sector. The catalogue is populated with ready-made resources across a variety of subject areas. It is part of the company's effort to support schools in keeping their digital displays engaging and regularly updated.

TrilbyTV continues to focus on building whole school communication and providing content that supports both teaching and pastoral objectives. The company positions its platform as an option for schools of all sizes, with an emphasis on usability and a range of resources tailored to the education environment.
