Trust unveils Jersey Travel Backpack made from recycled PET

Mon, 27th Oct 2025

Trust International has launched the Jersey Travel Backpack, a sustainable product aimed at commuters and travellers.

The new backpack has a 25-litre capacity and features IPX4 water-resistant PU-coated materials, sealed zippers, and a protective top cover. These elements are designed to protect contents from rain and ensure durability during daily use.

One key feature is the shockproof laptop compartment, which accommodates devices up to 17 inches. The compartment system offers a fully opening main section alongside four internal zippered pockets to facilitate organisation. Additional top and side compartments offer easy access to essential items, while separate side pockets provide secure storage for water bottles.

The backpack includes a trolley strap for those travelling with luggage, allowing it to attach directly to a suitcase. For comfort, there are adjustable padded shoulder straps and an extra chest strap. The design also incorporates a dedicated built-in AirTag pocket, addressing the need for travellers to track their belongings effectively.

Sustainable materials

The Jersey Travel Backpack is manufactured using fabric made from 19 recycled PET bottles. This focus on recycled materials forms part of Trust International's wider commitment to environmentally conscious product design.

Arjan Steenbergen, ESG Manager at Trust International, said:

"Integrating recycled materials into our products is a key step in our ESG strategy to reduce our environmental footprint. Every choice we make impacts the planet, and the Jersey Travel Backpack proves that sustainability can be smart, sustainable, and stylish. It demonstrates just how circular design principles can be applied without compromising on quality and functionality."

Key features

The Jersey Travel Backpack is designed with organisational features, including a main section and zippered pockets for various accessories. There are external compartments for quick access to frequently used items, and the addition of a dedicated AirTag slot addresses the increasing demand for anti-loss technology among travellers and commuters.

The backpack is described as suitable for commuting, business travel, study, or daily use in urban environments. The combination of functional design and attention to environmentally friendly materials is positioned as a response to the needs of individuals leading active lifestyles while maintaining a focus on sustainability. The product is currently available for GBP £59.99.
