Wolters Kluwer launches award-winning CCH iFirm in the UK
Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting (TAA) has announced the U.K. launch of its award-winning cloud platform, the CCH iFirm. The software platform was designed with the aim of enhancing efficiency and productivity in accounting and tax practices. The new addition intends to offer efficient, automated workflows, full visibility and integration across various accounting tools, while also adhering to high security industry standards. It will enable access to real-time data and provide users with data analysis, visualisation, and reporting opportunities.
Discussing the development, Mr. Bas Kniphorst, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Wolters Kluwer TAA Europe, stated, "For over a decade, CCH iFirm has been driving impact globally for tax and accounting firms with its innovative technology and extensive capabilities, and we are excited to introduce this new platform to the U.K." He went on to emphasise the adoption of technology solutions by accounting firms for greater business scalability, agility and resilience. He stated that Wolters Kluwer's CCH iFirm offers these benefits through a unified platform with a single sign-in feature.
The CCH iFirm, already a successful cloud platform in North America and Asia Pacific markets, for the first time launches in Europe with the U.K. debut. Existing users of Wolters Kluwer's CCH Central, the on-premise accounting system in the U.K., can choose to transition to the new platform in a phased manner or a one-off switch. The platform offers seamless workflow integration, including with CCH Central, and can sync with widespread accounting and productivity tools. This shapes a unified ecosystem designed to augment efficiency and productivity.
Neil Parsons, Managing Director, Wolters Kluwer TAA U.K., commented on the platform's capabilities, stating that the CCH iFirm is a "next-generation cloud platform" bringing the reliability, expertise, and innovative technology of Wolters Kluwer directly to U.K. clients. With significant changes to U.K. tax regulation, particularly affecting sole traders and partnerships, on the horizon, Mr. Parsons remarked that it is an ideal time for accounting firms to update their systems and transition to the cloud.
Looking ahead, the functionality of the CCH iFirm platform will be expanded in stages within the U.K. market with the deployment of several modules planned in the coming months. These include the CCH iFirm AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and CCH iFirm Accounts Production modules. These tools are designed to streamline client onboarding and enhance compliance efficiency and profitability.
Wolters Kluwer TAA has previously received independent recognition for its innovative work. Last year, their Asia Pacific division won a Grand Globee at the 15th Annual Golden Bridge Innovation Awards for their innovative work in the Product Development Initiative of the Year category.
