Acronis names Jo Holliday UK & Ireland General Manager

Thu, 8th Jan 2026

Acronis has appointed Jo Holliday as General Manager for the United Kingdom and Ireland, in a move that places a renewed emphasis on partner-led growth in one of the company's key European markets.

Holliday will lead the firm's UK and Ireland operation. Her remit covers regional growth, relationships with partners and customers, and expansion of Acronis' market presence through a partner-focused strategy.

The appointment highlights the role of the UK and Ireland within Acronis' wider European business. The company sells integrated cybersecurity and data protection products through managed service providers and other channel partners.

Channel veteran

Holliday brings more than 28 years of experience in software sales, channel development and go-to-market change. She has held senior global roles with responsibility for revenue, international sales leadership and channel strategy.

Her background includes work on building scalable partner ecosystems. She has also worked on commercial operations and on growth initiatives across multiple international markets.

Acronis said the new General Manager role in the region reflects growing demand from businesses for combined cyber protection and backup products. Organisations in the UK and Ireland face rising volumes of cyber threats and regulatory requirements around data protection, which has driven interest in integrated security and recovery tools.

Holliday will work with managed service providers, service providers and other partners that package and deliver Acronis technology to end customers. The company has identified this ecosystem as a core route to market for small and medium-sized businesses and larger enterprises.

Partner-first focus

Holliday said she plans to build on the existing partner network in the region.

"I'm excited to step into the General Manager role for UKI at Acronis," said Jo Holliday, General Manager, UKI, Acronis. "It's a privilege to lead such a talented team and work alongside a partner community that plays a critical role in protecting businesses in an increasingly complex cyber landscape. I'm looking forward to deepening collaboration, helping our partners grow, and enabling customers to operate with confidence."

Her comments reflect an emphasis on collaboration with existing partners and on expansion of the regional ecosystem. Acronis has worked with managed service providers globally for many years and has positioned them as the primary channel for its cyber protection portfolio.

The company said Holliday's appointment aligns with a strategy that centres on partner relationships in markets where small and medium-sized businesses often rely on third parties for IT security and backup. The UK and Ireland markets have seen steady growth in the number of MSPs targeting cyber security and managed backup services for local businesses.

Regional priorities

Ronan McCurtin, RVP Europe Israel & Africa at Acronis, said the UK and Ireland remain a priority within the company's European footprint.

"UKI is an important region for Acronis, and Jo's depth of experience across channel strategy, revenue leadership, and team development makes her the right leader to drive our next phase of growth," said McCurtin. "Her partner-centric approach and proven ability to scale high-performing organisations will strengthen our momentum with MSPs, service providers, and the broader partner ecosystem across the UK and Ireland."

The company expects Holliday's background in global revenue leadership and channel strategy to support further expansion with MSPs and other intermediaries. These partners often bundle Acronis' security and backup software with monitoring, support and compliance services.

Acronis operates across cybersecurity, backup, disaster recovery and endpoint management for MSPs, small and medium businesses and enterprise IT departments. Its products identify, prevent, detect, respond, remediate and recover from cyber threats. Customers use the software to limit downtime, protect data integrity and maintain business operations after incidents.

The company originated in Singapore and is now headquartered in Switzerland. It reports 15 offices globally and employees in more than 50 countries. Its flagship Acronis Cyber Protect product is available in 26 languages in 150 countries and is used by over 21,000 service providers to protect over 750,000 businesses.

Acronis said Holliday will work with the regional team and the partner base in the UK and Ireland as it pursues further growth in cyber protection services through its channel model.
