Alex Hisley, the Head of Security Operations at FourNet, has been recognised by the CSO30 Awards UK 2024 as one of the top 30 IT leaders in the UK.

Hisley's achievements were announced at a ceremony in London, where he was honoured for his significant contributions to managing risk and cybersecurity threats. The awards, organised by media, data, and martech firm Foundry, celebrate individuals with advanced information risk management and security within the industry.

Alex Hisley expressed his delight at receiving the accolade, stating, "These awards shine a very bright light on those in the cybersecurity industry who are today tackling some of the most serious online threats that we've ever seen. I'm extremely proud to be named in such esteemed company."

He further acknowledged the importance of his team, saying, "This award is also great recognition for the dedicated, talented and diverse team that we've put together to run and manage FourNet's Security Operations Centre and to look after our customers."

Over the past two years, Hisley has been crucial in establishing FourNet's fully UK-based Security Operations Centre (SOC). This development aims to protect FourNet's customers from skilled threat actors and hostile nation-state groups.

The 24/7/365 SOC is a fundamental component of FourNet's offerings, including customer experience, digital transformation, and cybersecurity services. These are delivered through FourNet's secure network and cloud platforms.

The SOC provides around-the-clock monitoring, incident response, and threat intelligence services for global clients. It supports FourNet's ANTENNA service, which caters to over 30 UK government departments and is tailored for UK Critical National Infrastructure organisations.

Richard Pennington, CEO of FourNet, remarked, "This is a proud moment for Alex, for FourNet, and for our highly skilled SOC team and this accolade should also reassure our customers that their cybersecurity is in expert hands."

Pennington also highlighted the diversity within the security team, noting, "We are also very proud of the composition of our security team, which reflects FourNet's commitment to diversity - with 40% female representation and team members from around the globe."

Alex Hisley's recognition at the CSO30 Awards UK 2024 underscores his leadership in enhancing FourNet's cybersecurity. His role in establishing the company's UK-based Security Operations Centre highlights the importance of strong, dedicated teams in addressing evolving cyber threats. This accolade celebrates his achievements and emphasises FourNet's commitment to providing robust security solutions for its clients, including critical national infrastructure sectors.
