Alteryx names Bill Tabbit-Humphrey as Chief Customer Officer

Mon, 22nd Dec 2025

Alteryx has appointed Bill Tabbit-Humphrey as Chief Customer Officer, expanding the veteran customer experience executive's role as the AI analytics company targets growth across its global client base.

Tabbit-Humphrey steps into the position after serving as Senior Vice President of Customer Experience at Alteryx. He will oversee global post-sale customer teams, including customer success, support, solutions, education and innovation.

The move comes as Alteryx increases its focus on AI and data analytics for large organisations. The company reports that more than 8,000 customers use its software worldwide, including major UK brands across retail, technology, healthcare and financial services.

Expanded remit

Alteryx said Tabbit-Humphrey will lead efforts that centre on customer outcomes from the Alteryx One platform. His remit will span the full lifecycle of post-sale customer engagement across global markets.

He will work with Alteryx's community of users and partners. He will also highlight customer projects and use cases that involve the platform.

The company positions Alteryx One as a unified platform for analytics and AI. It said more customers are adopting the platform as they develop broader data and AI strategies.

Tabbit-Humphrey will sit within the firm's senior leadership team. His role aligns with a broader reshaping of the C-suite as Alteryx responds to growing demand for AI-based analytics.

Industry background

Tabbit-Humphrey has more than 25 years of experience in pre-sales and post-sales customer engagement across software and data-focused businesses. His career spans engineering, international sales, support and services leadership.

Before joining Alteryx, he spent almost seven years at Informatica, which is now part of Salesforce. He played a role in the company's shift from on-premise software to cloud-based offerings.

He also spent nearly six years at Tableau Software, which is now part of Salesforce. At Tableau, he worked on transforming the services organisation and supported the company through its initial public offering.

He began his career as a software engineer at Electronic Data Systems. He has since held leadership positions across support, services, education, project management and customer success, with a focus on international operations.

Tabbit-Humphrey holds an MBA in international business. He has led teams across multiple regions throughout his career.

Customer focus

Alteryx said the new appointment reflects customers' expectations for AI. Many organisations are testing new models and analytics pipelines as they assess return on investment and operational impact.

In this context, the company is placing more emphasis on structured customer engagement after the initial sale. That engagement includes support, training and solution design for AI and analytics initiatives.

Tabbit-Humphrey said many organisations face challenges as they experiment with AI. He pointed to a gap between pilot projects and scaled deployments.

"Companies are eager to embrace AI, but too many pilots are falling short. At Alteryx, our mission is to help customers navigate this change, scale their analytics, and succeed at every step of their AI journey. I'm fortunate to work with such a dynamic community of customers every day, and I'm excited about the opportunities ahead as we help organisations unlock the full potential of AI and analytics."

Alteryx said its customers use the platform for tasks such as automating analytics, improving revenue performance, managing costs and managing risk across their businesses. Its tools sit in a broader market for AI and analytics software used by both technical teams and business users.

Leadership backing

Steven Birdsall, Chief Revenue Officer at Alteryx, welcomed the promotion. He highlighted Tabbit-Humphrey's previous work with customers inside the company.

"There's so much to admire about Bill, but what stands out to me is his grit and his relentless focus on helping our customers achieve their goals. Bill is committed to championing our growing customer base amid the fast-evolving world of AI. He has already demonstrated exceptional leadership at Alteryx, and we can't wait to see what's next as he steps into this role."

Alteryx said Tabbit-Humphrey will now focus on aligning customer-facing teams around AI and analytics outcomes. His work will track how organisations adapt their operations as data analytics and AI reshape business processes.
