Altia launches OSINT Investigator to enhance digital probes
Altia, an investigative technology firm based in Nottingham, has introduced a new software product called OSINT Investigator aimed at enhancing law enforcement investigations.
The OSINT Investigator module is engineered to manage the collection and analysis of open-source intelligence more effectively, assisting investigation and risk teams in navigating and handling vast volumes of digital data. Developed by a team of open-source intelligence experts, the module provides significant improvements in efficiency, security, and user-friendliness for investigative teams gathering digital evidence.
OSINT Investigator is available through Altia HQ, a comprehensive platform offering integrated investigative case management designed to expedite the crime-solving process. Dave Sampson, Consultant for Digital Intelligence at Altia, commented, "With the ever-growing volume of digital information, OSINT Investigator is designed to give investigating teams the tools they need to stay ahead. Whether it's for criminal investigations or risk management, a wide range of organisations are finding they need an efficient and compliant way to gather, analyse and interpret publicly available information."
He further added, "We have developed a product that empowers investigators to monitor and capture digital content from the web in a highly secure and auditable way, while seamlessly integrating with case management workflows. This innovation puts investigation and risk teams in a stronger position to proactively gather data and manage complex investigations."
The software includes features such as encrypted data handling, continuous security updates, and the capability to conduct searches across the surface, deep, and dark web. Its proactive search functionality enables the monitoring of specific URLs and keywords, notifying users of relevant matches and capturing intelligence in real-time.
Altia's Chief Executive Officer, Rob Sinclair, stated, "OSINT Investigator brings about a paradigm shift. By offering a powerful yet easy-to-use solution, we're helping any organisation that carries out investigations manage vast amounts of digital intelligence securely and efficiently. This product reflects our commitment to innovation and ensures investigators have the right tools to deliver results when the volume of digital data and information is growing exponentially."
Altia HQ, launched earlier in the year, offers a consolidated digital toolbox for organisations engaged in investigations, providing connected investigative tools that support analysis and decision-making. This integration includes all of Altia's existing investigative tools, establishing a centralised hub that aligns with the latest security standards and facilitates swift module upgrades.
The platform is designed to help law enforcement and security agencies support their investigations through a centralised, accessible system that prioritises compliance and feature requirements.
