Avolution's ABACUS leads in 2023 Gartner report for enterprise architecture tools
Avolution's ABACUS has been ranked highest across all use cases in the 2023 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Enterprise Architecture Tools report. This was highlighted following the evaluation of 15 diverse enterprise architecture tool platforms.
The report highlights that "Enterprise architecture tools support the delivery of business outcomes by providing a central repository for managing and analysing enterprise data to highlight the impact of change. EA leaders need to assess the product capabilities of vendors in relation to five key use cases."
The 2023 Gartner Critical Capabilities report ranked ABACUS first in all five use cases examined: Enterprise Transformation Management (4.47/5), IT Portfolio Management (4.45/5), Advanced Roadmapping (4.39/5), Solution Architecture Design and Delivery (4.41/5), and Innovation and Sustainability (4.40/5).
Avolution's Dr Tim O'Neill suggested that the impressive scores reflected the unique selling points of ABACUS: "Strong architecture modelling and road mapping, its graph database, extensible and configurable metamodel, AI/ML features and no-code algorithms for calculations and analysis."
He also noted an improvement in the platform's score in Intelligent Automation compared with last year's Gartner report: "We have also increased our product score in Intelligent Automation versus the 2022 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Enterprise Architecture Tools report."
The functionality of ABACUS continues to evolve, supporting core architecture skills and deliverables. The platform provides Architecture Modelling capabilities, allowing users to construct free-form canvas-and-stencil diagrams with customisable icons.
For Data-Driven Roadmaps, the software automates user-selected analysis, including cost trends, security scores, and technical debt reduction. It also promotes Tailored Communication and Collaboration with dashboards that track business capabilities, technology lifecycles, metrics, and processes.
Additionally, Avolution has earned recognition as a leading light in the 2023 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools due to its ABACUS platform. This tool lets companies review the Critical Capabilities alongside the Gartner Magic Quadrant note for an all-rounded perspective of the vendors in the market.
