Cevo & AWS launch strategic collaboration for innovation
Cloud consulting leader Cevo has announced a significant three-year multi-million-dollar strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The collaboration is intended to help Cevo's customers speed up innovation and address their industry requirements by building and adopting bespoke solutions that utilise AWS's capabilities in modernisation, data, and artificial intelligence (AI).
This important agreement will allow Cevo to enhance its core practice areas, which include Modernisation, Data, and AI, as well as Advisory services. There will also be a focus on developing industry-specific expertise across the financial services and retail sectors, with a particular emphasis on data and security. The main objective is to answer customers' demands by offering unique solutions with demonstrated technical proficiency and a track record of customer success.
The collaboration, which begins this month, will help Cevo to continue the evolution of its go-to-market strategy, known as Cevo Nexus. This approach is intended to hasten digital transformation for Australian organisations, especially regulated sectors such as financial services, utilities, and the public sector, where Cevo already has considerable expertise. Among the solution offerings is Launch, which helps Cevo's customers create an AWS architecture that is in line with industry regulations and compliance needs.
The agreement will also see joint investment in employee training aimed at enhancing the AWS cloud skills and capabilities of Cevo's team and maintaining proficiency across Cevo's core offerings. The company is keen to nurture and grow its pool of local technical talent and show its commitment to growing a skilled workforce, evidenced by adopting programs like AWS Skill Builder.
James Lewis, CEO at Cevo, expressed his enthusiasm for the agreement. "This Strategic Collaboration Agreement further enhances our deep collaboration with AWS, allowing Cevo to take a major step towards helping customers build and optimise on the cloud and AI faster to drive industry innovation," he said. "Through the agreement, AWS will help us scale our already fast-growing business three-fold in three years."
The collaboration is predicted to triple the size of Cevo's business with AWS over the next three years.
To date, Cevo has assisted over 200 organisations in Australia and New Zealand, including AMP and David Jones, to stay competitive with innovative solutions on AWS. Insignia Financial, a major Australian superannuation fund provider, worked with Cevo to achieve a major transformation, migrating from on-premises infrastructure to AWS Cloud.
Ross Garbutt, Head of Cloud Technology at Insignia Financial, conveyed the value of Cevo's technical expertise. "Through our close collaboration with Cevo, Insignia Financial has undergone a remarkable transformation to drive cloud adoption on AWS," said Garbutt. "Cevo's technical expertise allowed us to build the foundations seamlessly and efficiently for our new cloud environments while meeting stringent security, resilience, and compliance standards."
Sarah Bassett, Head of Software, AWS, Australia and New Zealand, commented on the agreement, stating "Cevo has supported some of Australia's largest digital transformation projects, with customers leveraging their deep cloud expertise and modernisation capabilities…This Strategic Collaboration Agreement will enable customers to maximise efficiencies, productivity, and accelerate innovation."
