Chris Lowe joins Yaspa as Chief Financial Officer for expansion
Yaspa has announced the appointment of Chris Lowe as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Lowe assumes the role after previously serving as fractional CFO for Yaspa since October 2024, working via his position as Chief Strategy Officer at Irish finance consultancy Fitzgerald Power. In his new capacity, Lowe will join Yaspa full-time to oversee the company's financial strategy as it prepares to expand into new geographic regions and industry sectors.
With over a decade of experience in finance leadership and strategy, Lowe brings expertise in scaling growth-stage companies. He is a qualified chartered accountant, and his professional background includes financial modelling and fundraising for clients moving from start up to scale up phases and beyond.
Sector focus
Yaspa, which provides instant payments and identity services to iGaming platforms, leverages open banking and artificial intelligence to deliver real-time payment and customer insight solutions. The company, headquartered in London, currently works with partners based in the UK, Ireland, and other parts of Europe.
The appointment of Lowe comes as Yaspa intends to enter a critical growth stage in terms of geographical and sectoral expansion.
Statements on appointment
Lowe commented on his new role, stating, "It's a hugely exciting time to join Yaspa on its growth journey. I'm energised by companies at this stage, where things are moving fast and the market opportunity is clear with strong tailwinds. I thrive on bringing clarity to complexity through the numbers, helping to chart a confident course through dynamic conditions, and I'm looking forward to building closer relationships with the talented growing team."
Chris has already made a significant impact during his time as fractional CFO, helping us sharpen our financial strategy as we prepare for our next phase of growth.
James Neville, Chief Executive Officer at Yaspa, added, "His experience scaling fast-moving businesses and navigating complex financial environments makes him the ideal person to lead Yaspa's finance function full-time. We're delighted to have him on board as we expand into new markets and continue building a category-defining business."
Growth trajectory
Lowe's previous consultancy work has seen him involved in helping other growth-stage companies and start-ups through phases of expansion and adapting to dynamic market conditions. His full-time appointment at Yaspa is part of the company's broader strategy to cement its position in the digital payments and identity sector across Europe and beyond.
The company's award-winning services focus on supporting iGaming platforms with bank-verified payments and account verification processes. Its platform leverages open banking regulations in the UK and Europe, aiming to enhance both the security and efficiency of digital payments through artificial intelligence-driven solutions.
Yaspa was established in 2017 and is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK. As it looks to its next phase, both Lowe and Neville emphasise the focus on strategy, operational clarity, and relationship-building to support upcoming expansion efforts.
