Cooper Software launches TRAX v3 for IFS invoice capture

Cooper Software has launched TRAX v3 for IFS users, adding automated document capture for accounts payable.
The update is aimed at businesses that still enter supplier invoices and related documents into IFS manually, a task that remains common in finance teams.
TRAX is Cooper Software's integration platform for IFS. Since 2012, customers have used it to connect IFS with other business systems, including CRM software and eCommerce marketplaces. The latest version extends that role into accounts payable by capturing incoming documents and converting them into records in IFS.
The software is designed to process invoices, cash remittances, order confirmation notes and delivery notes received through email, FTP or a shared inbox. It can apply different levels of matching, from simple capture without matching to three-way matching of an invoice against a purchase order and delivery note.
Where a document cannot be matched automatically, the system flags it for review by the accounts team rather than stopping the wider process. The aim is to leave finance staff handling exceptions instead of routine data entry.
David Kidd, Managing Director at Cooper Software, described manual invoice entry as a persistent issue for many finance teams.
"Right now, a lot of businesses are still receiving supplier invoices into an inbox and manually keying them into IFS, one line at a time," Kidd said. "This new functionality changes that. Every invoice that lands in the inbox is matched against suppliers automatically and created as a proper record in IFS, so accounts teams can spend their time on the exceptions that genuinely need a human eye rather than the routine ones that don't."
Cooper Software said the feature was shaped by requests from customers whose accounts teams manually process hundreds of supplier invoices each month. The company is positioning the product as a faster option for IFS users looking to solve integration and invoice-handling problems without a long buying and implementation cycle.
IFS focus
Unlike broad e-invoicing platforms that work across many enterprise resource planning systems, TRAX is built specifically for IFS. Cooper Software says that narrower focus is intended to reduce the cost and complexity often associated with larger finance automation projects.
TRAX v3 can be bought and made live on the same day, continuing the model Cooper Software has used for the wider platform. The approach reflects its effort to make integration tools accessible to IT managers and finance teams that want to respond quickly when a process issue emerges.
Cooper Software was founded in the UK in 2005 and is an IFS partner. Alongside integration software, it provides implementation support, hosting, managed services and other products for IFS customers.
The launch comes as software suppliers continue to target accounts payable workflows, where invoice capture and matching remain a source of manual work even in businesses with established ERP systems. Supplier invoices often arrive in multiple formats and through several channels, leaving finance teams to reconcile them with purchase orders and delivery records before payment can be approved.
By focusing on those document flows within a single ERP environment, Cooper Software aims to address one of the more repetitive tasks in finance operations for IFS users. Kidd said the goal is to remove routine handling from the process while leaving exceptions for staff to review.
