Dataglobal & SoSafe partner to enhance email security
The dataglobal Group has entered into a strategic partnership with SoSafe, one of Europe's largest providers of security awareness and human risk management services.
The collaborative effort aims to bolster the security of email communications, especially against the rising threat of social engineering attacks.
Social engineering is a tactic used by attackers to exploit publicly available information to manipulate employees into revealing sensitive access details, engaging in unauthorised financial transactions, or committing CEO fraud through highly personalised attacks. The dataglobal Group's eXpurgate product, which already secures around one billion emails daily, offers robust technical protection against spam and phishing. Through this partnership, this technological safeguard will be enhanced by SoSafe's training programs, which focus on elevating employee awareness about digital threats and safe behaviours.
Hilmar Hnel, Partner Manager at the dataglobal Group, commented, "SoSafe is an excellent partner for us. SoSafe's security awareness training aims to raise people's awareness of digital threats and teach them safe behaviour—a perfect complement to our technological approach. Together, eXpurgate and SoSafe form an insurmountable obstacle to email-based attacks by cyber criminals." Hnel further emphasised, "For us, email security is an elementary component of the digital workplace, without which trusting and efficient collaboration is not possible. Digital transformation requires secure digital communication."
To provide a comprehensive understanding of these security measures, dataglobal and SoSafe will host a joint webinar titled "Together against social engineering: The experts from eXpurgate and SoSafe in conversation" on Thursday, 27 June 2024, at 2.30 pm. During the webinar, experts will discuss real-life examples illustrating the threats posed by social engineering and offer strategies that companies and organisations can employ to protect themselves. The session will also cover how eXpurgate defends against spam and phishing, while SoSafe's training ensures employees are well-versed in recognising and averting cyber threats. Additionally, a Q&A session will be held to allow participants to gain insights from the specialists involved.
The combined approach underscores the importance of integrating technical solutions with user education to effectively counter sophisticated cyber threats. While technical defences like eXpurgate are crucial, the complementary role of human-centred training provided by SoSafe ensures a holistic defence strategy.
Registration for the webinar is free, and interested individuals can sign up via SoSafe's and dataglobal Group's online platforms.
The partnership comes at a time when email-based attacks are becoming more prevalent and intricate, highlighting the need for both rigorous technical defences and comprehensive security awareness programs.
