Evri expands locker network with Tesco & MFG trial

Tue, 17th Mar 2026

Evri has expanded its parcel locker strategy with a trial in selected Tesco stores and a nationwide rollout of 500 lockers at Motor Fuel Group (MFG) forecourts.

The two agreements add capacity to Evri's out-of-home network, which includes ParcelShops and lockers. Evri operates more than 11,000 ParcelShops and lockers across the UK, including locations in Post Office branches and Asda stores.

Evri plans to more than double its ParcelShop and locker estate by 2030 and has previously announced a GBP £50 million investment to support that expansion.

Tesco trial

The Tesco partnership begins with Evri-branded lockers at a small number of Tesco Extra and Superstore sites. The trial builds on an existing relationship through Tesco Clubcard, which awards points for parcels sent through Evri.

Initial sites span a range of regions, including Bolton Horwich, March, Barrow-in-Furness, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Burnham-on-Sea, West Bromwich, Stratford-upon-Avon, Hartlepool, Brighouse, Wolverhampton, Oldham, Salisbury, Bury, Cullompton, Preston, Bradford, Goole, Lincoln, Cleethorpes, Didcot, Sunbury-on-Thames, Bristol, Brislington and Coventry, Walsgrave.

The Evri trial also runs alongside a wider "locker hub partner trial" at Tesco, where multiple providers are installed at selected locations.

"We're constantly looking for ways to make the shopping trip even more convenient for our customers, and as part of a small locker hub partner trial across a small number of stores, where we are bringing a number of providers together, we're pleased to introduce Evri lockers across a selected small number of stores," a Tesco Strategic Partnership team spokesperson said.

Forecourt rollout

MFG will host 500 Evri lockers at petrol stations across the UK. The company is the UK's largest independent forecourt operator and runs sites in both urban and rural areas.

The rollout begins this month and will continue through spring. Many MFG sites include retail concessions such as Morrisons Daily, Subway and Starbucks.

"With the rollout of Evri's lockers across 500 Motor Fuel Group sites, this new partnership brings together two brands focused on everyday convenience," an MFG spokesperson said. "Together we're able to give customers greater flexibility to send, collect and return parcels as part of their regular routines, while enhancing the role our forecourts play in local communities and adding real value for our retail partners."

Owned lockers

The Tesco and MFG deployments are part of Evri's owned locker network, rather than shared third-party banks. Evri is working with smart-tech specialist Bloq.it on the units and has commissioned at least 1,000 lockers.

The lockers support contact-free operation and QR code access, as well as a print-at-locker option designed for self-adhesive labels. The network also supports returns.

Demand signals

Locker networks are playing a larger role in parcel delivery, driven by demand for convenience and predictability in out-of-home pickup and drop-off. Evri reported rapid growth in locker usage since early 2025, alongside an increase in diversions to lockers over the same period.

Based on its 2024/25 data, Evri also reports that locker deliveries have lower emissions than standard courier deliveries.

Liam Rogan, Evri's Head of ParcelShop and Locker Network, said the partnerships support the company's broader network expansion. "By partnering with Tesco and Motor Fuel Group in launching the first wave of our lockers, we're reinforcing our commitment to a choice of quality delivery methods," Rogan said.

He added that customer preferences are shaping delivery options and pointed to the locations selected for the initial rollout. "Evri's own data shows that customers value convenience when it comes to deliveries, so with Tesco stores and Motor Fuel Group forecourts at the heart of so many communities, there will be easy access to Evri services alongside filling up or picking up essentials," he said.

"Together, these partnerships will provide shoppers with even more flexibility to send, receive, and return parcels in a way that suits them, reflecting how consumer behaviour is continuing to evolve."

Customers can locate ParcelShops and lockers through Evri's app and website as the Tesco trial and MFG rollout expand.
